Ordered the cheese burger meal and seafood salad.
Burger meal was stone cold the bun was hard and stale.
Salad was okay pumpkin had a sour taste to it. Waited over 45 mins and the place was not busy.
Brought a carrot cake slice to go was sickly sweet went straight in the bin. Very disappointing

Wouldn't recommend this place. Long wait for food when they were not overly busy and the staff were absolutely rude and made the experience unpleasant.

Unfriendly dog adverse staff member. Slow unorganised service. Left before being served after waiting for ages.

Food was okay but the service was not great at all as they took the wrong order in and asked to pay for additional money if I want to change to the food that I original ordered. Also staff is not approachable either.
You have lots of other amazing cafes to choose from in Whangamata but definitely not this one.

Food wait was 40 mins. After waiting an hour was told they forgot to send order through to kitchen. Nobody seemed to care.

Awful, would of given zero stars, brunch was cold and tasteless. Staff were taking our plates even when obviously we were still eating! Young staff, were hovering around the tables and as soon as someone put a cup down staff would pounce and remove it. Not the kids fault, probably trying to look busy in front of the owners, but it lead to a very non relaxing time for us paying customers. This along with the salmon eggs ben, ribs, the bubble and squeek all below par. Coffee was good.

We were there this arvo it was full but not too busy it took 25 mins for ourcoffee to arrive it was like warm it took another 15 mins for our lunch worst lunch I have ever had my seafood chowder was Luke warm tasteless watery toast burnt I have been on the toilet all afternoon absolutely vile

Found out very quickly why this was the only cafe in Whanga main street with tables available on a busy public holiday. Ridiculously expensive. Food was overcooked and dry; and our sons meal was forgotten and didn’t come out until the rest of us had almost finished.

Rude staff, overpriced food, even told us we can't eat outside snack food even though we bought food from them too. Very poor for a kiwi cafe.

Service was very poor. We waited over an hour for our big breakfast and the eggs were overcooked while the sausages were undercooked. Did like the curly fries though!

Cold and below average. Asked them to not spread nutella on the French toast (very easy request as it wasn't baked in it) and they said they will see what they can do. When it arrived it had nutella which means it was either premade this morning or from yesterday. If they had said they couldn't accommodate to this would not have wasted the money as I could not eat it. The rest of the table were also was very disappointed with the food saying it was cold and very average.

Coffee was very milky, weak & over priced. Lime milk shake was nice but tiny (the size of a regular takeaway coffee) and cost $7. Chai latte tasted like warm milk when returned it was toped up with more syrup not remade. The Service was mediocre. We won't be back.

Had heard good things but went in yesterday and the tables were dirty some sort of milk drink had been spilt and not cleaned up all over floor was not busy when we went in so left found somewhere that was clean

Took over 45 minutes for a burger and loaded fries to come out, Which would’ve been fine had we been warned about the long wait before ordering. Burger was fine aside from the cold chips, But the loaded fries were disgusting, didn’t even have real cheese. Disappointed overall, Especially with the high price point.

Forgot to mention that the water was absolutely disgusting. After we drunk some and realised how gross it tasted, we noticed there was some kind of mould or bacteria build up around the bottle lid. Wouldn’t be surprised if we got sick.

Ordered the loaded waffle fries and was not advised they were out of the product as we were after wedges which was not on the menu.
Order was delivered with standard fries which was disappointing.
If i was told at the start, we would not have ordered as it was alot of money for standard loaded fries.

Lovely staff amd the place was clean but food was extremely basic and over priced for a slap together meal

Service not great. Waitress spilled chips out of basket on to table. Apologised then walked away. Burger patties not fully cooked and grease ran everywhere on to plate and down my arm and dripped on floor. French toast ok. Have had much better. Banana cooked in skin.

The food was good. However both my wife and I felt VERY uncomfortable about the number of staff, in particular the 4 VERY young boys, that “hovered” continuously and seemed to “pounce” as soon as meals/coffees were finished to clear tables. In two cases observed with other tables, clients stopped them to retrieve something before it was taken away.
Also noticed with my wife’s and my order and with two other tables, the orders being delivered to the tables were split. Not the two orders for one table delivered at the same time.
We were left wondering if any of the boys names were Oliver Twist or Artful Dodger.

Very good coffee and scone for our morning break. Service not good - two different staff members tried to clear away our plates from under our noses whilst I was still eating. Please slow down and let us enjoy our food and drink.

Coffees were alright
Food was served under seasoned, no salt on the chips at all and they were not fresh
Burger was big but no flavour in the meat patties at all, also under seasoned
Breakfast sausages were dry beef instead of pork (as they should be)
No water given to us throughout our meal
