1841 Bar and Restaurant

Pretty good for a mid afternoon lunch, only criticism is the the pork belly was a bit burnt. Otherwise very nice as usual!

Excellent meal. Priced right. Live music was great. Plenty of parking. Recommend for a good night out.

Busy bustlin resto in Johnsonville. Easy to get to and lots of parking. Service is ok.staff are friendly but the resto is busy and they tend to forget stuff you ask for or forgets to check up on you. Food is above average. Nice place to take the fam for a dinner out.

Excellent meal and prompt service. Just wished I had booked and maybe we would not have been seated by toilets entrance.

Disappointing service. Staff appeared to be busy. I placed order for 2 people at the counter after waiting for 35mins at our table which was located where customers were paying their bill. Wait time in between orders (except for drinks) was 15-20min.

Worst experience ever! 5 of us went for lunch here at 12: 30pm and was not even acknowledged.there is an extremely rude girl with red hair working behind the bar with the most sour face. We asked the young waiter guy who took our food order who she was and he told us she is the Duty manager…
Well every-time one of us went up to the bar to get a drink she (the girl with the red hair) would rather talk to the staff members who are on their breaks at the end of the bar then serve her patrons.
As for the food OMG the Lamb shank pie is more like a stew and tastes like it was microwaved from frozen the the battered fish and chips taste B- fish was not fresh my friend couldn’t eat it. Will not be coming back here again.

I go regularly, it's usually good although I've noticed the roast has got smaller on Sunday! Also on Monday nights they have a 2 for 1. I often go along but because I'm just one I can only order one meal. I don't mind because one meal is usually enough. If there is a second person the meal if free. My sister is staying w me tonight. I'm looking after her, she's unwell. I went to take advantage of 2 for 1 (for the first time I'd be getting the second meal free so I thought). However, I found that isn't possible because we wanted it to take away. I don't understand this because 1841 do have takeaway meals. I've purchased them. I think it's mean for a restaurant to advertise commonplace deals like 2/1 and then attach conditions to 2/1 face to face at the restaurant. Perhaps 1841 should be clear about it's rules on its specials signs or on the menus? It was a bit embarrassing.

Been here a few times and the food has been okay. However recently we had a brekky with hash browns cooked so long they turned into potato chips. What I dont get is why the server thought we would be okay eating them? Anyway 3 stars and probably will be getting our brunches elsewhere moving forward.

The food here has really improved! Delicious. Our private event went without a hitch, great service. Plus, the toilets were really clean. Bonus.

Awesome vibe in the outside sitting area where I usually sit. Very well priced food, huge quantities and cooked perfectly. My ribs were amazing! Super busy so best to book a table.

Went there for dinner and although we didnt have a booking, they seated us on a 6 seater table straight away. Maybe we got lucky. It was a Monday night which is 2 for 1 meal night. Awesome meals! Fantastic service! They really look after you well.

Apart from the usual Friday night noisey pub atmosphere making it difficult to hear the waitresses with the specials the food was excellent and the price was very reasonable, the servings were also very generous

My flatmate suggested 1841 last week and it was bigger than we expected. Booked a reservation in advance, was very crowded at first around 7: 30pm but we got a lovely peaceful place in the corner, cleared out soon after 8: 20pm. It was my first time @1841, enjoyed with my partner and Mondays being 2 4 1, yayyyyy lucky us! Great ambience, cozy, closer to home, Awesome food for reasonable prices n Friendly staff. Enjoyed Petherick crispy Pork, Bangers & Mash with yummy Apple & Blueberry Pie. Surely recommend it and will visit again with friends next time. Great work Team. Aloha

Always had a good time here, good service and cold beers. Nice live music nights. Doors to outside smokers area could stay closed a bit more.

We went on Monday 2 4 1 Night. Great steak with nice chunky wedges and the best coleslaw i have had out in a while. Really enjoyed my meal. Hot and tasty. Quick to fix a problem with one of our parties meal. Only down side is we rung to book a table as we struggle to sit on high stools. Staff member didnt want to book us a table when we called - telling us to chance it - on such a busy night I get that but also couldnt shift us to a low table on request. Some tables were booked and sat empty for some time. Maybe a no booking policy on these nights with a better management system could achieve better results. Friendly staff and yummy food so Ill be back even if i have to persevere with a stool. Might even come try 1852 too.

Family night out for dinner. Quizz night too. We had the corn chips and calamari starters, the calamari was on point! We also had lamb burgers, the pork dish, the ribs and the shank pie for mains.delicious! Not a big fan of the high tables for meals as I'm not the tallest but it was packed out for quizz night so we took the booking anyway and are glad we did.

Family night out with food and a quiz night to boot. Food was good, service was great, quizzing too. Will book in a week early next time to get a normal table rather than a "high" table. We had lamb burgers, the ribs, the pork dish and the shank pie, and the corn chips and calamari starters.

Kids menu and activity pack was great for my 4 year old granddaughter. Walk in and git a table for 5 with no wait. Place was busy food was good

The food was underwhelming. The Cajun calamari had no Cajun seasoning at all. The service was friendly but not helpful. Sad to say, I won't be coming back soon.

What a treat to go to. I have lived here in Johnsonville and only just discovered 1841. The menu looks nice and when the food came to the table i was amazed at how good it looked. It tasted just as yummy. The staff that I enteracted with with delightful. I will definitely be back to try something else. So yummy
