Was pretty disappointed to go in tonight at 8.20 and just be told "we're closed"
Well update your opening hours and have the closed sign on your door. Open til 9pm not

Lovely food & two young very friendly staff members, the boss/cook could be a little more friendlier. Eaten here 3 times and would definitely go back love the food.

Good food, good environment, the staff actually looks after you. The head chef there is the best!

Lovely food good value for money. We were needing to get to a movie booking and they were able to be speedy yet tasty

Great food, plenty space within the Cafe. Tables well set out. Dining outside very comfortable weather permitting. Recommend.

Delightful, friendly service. I mentioned we’d been moving house all day and I think they gave us extra food as the plates were massive! We had the meze and the mujver was so yum! They’re our new local when we’re in Petone!

Great dishes with great quantity, I prefer the Mixed grill, always great with a mix of meat and all and their chips are nice and fresh and crunchy

Love this Turkish Cafe. Their Falafel and zucchini platter were yummy, nicely seasoned. Plenty of fresh vege in my plate and sauce was all good.
My husband had a chicken donor, he liked it and satisfied. Nice clean floor and table. Water was nice and cool. They used to have outside seating but it seemd to have removed: it would be seating outside when a nice sunny day.

Great meals for reasonable prices.

If you, like me, like coffee, order a cup of Turkish coffee with no milk or sugar. It's a little experience in itself.

Food lovely great customer service loved that they allowed byo. There were 6 of us & we all had a great time as we were able to talk without shouting. Definitely a place that I would recommend. Perfect for what we were after & very reasonable which was great. Our waitress was a delight. Thank you Cafe Lokum we will be back

Fantastic place and food. Ahmet is one of the rare turks in NZ who truly cares and is passionate about sharing our cultural cuisine with kiwis and doing it at a high standard with pride

Absolutely the best Turkish food I’ve ever had, kids love it. The owner is so kind to offer free rice since we like it so much, will absolutely try again some day

This is my second time dining here and it was nice, but not as good as my first experience. My first time dinning here was so good I made a point of coming back again. On both occasions I had a mixed escada and they were very nice meals.
The owners who I guess are family are very friendly and welcoming and overall the its a great place to eat at.
I will be back again and I'm sure it will be another nice lunch.

As we had turned up without a booking on a very busy night they managed to squeeze our party of four in. (Yay) we had gone here on the recommendation of our son, good food at a reasonable price it wasn't to noisy either I would happily give them 4 and a half stars not an option unfortunately.

Went with friends and ordered Adana kebab. Instead got meatballs, seemed supermarket brought, wrapped in floor tortilla. Tasted disgusting and an absolute mockery of traditional Adana kebab.
Don't go there if you are after authentic Turkish food.

Talk about more bang for your buck!
Amazing value for money, the flavor in numerous meals I've tried have been exceptional. Highly recommend to anyone in the area looking for some good quality Turkish food! The portions are huge btw

Saturday afternoon, two Turkish meals - absolutely delicious. We absolutely recommend this beautiful restaurant. Fantastic service great people and value for money.

Really nice selection of food and good prices.
Staff are also very friendly and the olace is quite tidy.

The only feedback I have is that it would be nice to have a drinks menu:)
