Caffe L'affare

Arguably the BEST DECAFFEINATED coffee in Wellington. The expert barista made me the most DELICIOUS coffee I’d had in a very long time. Forget the rest and treat yourself to a coffee that will live on in your subconscious so every time you go to town you’ll head to Caffe L’affare first. The food is well presented and flavoursome and the atmosphere is eclectic.

Amazing coffee shop, lovely staff! Had a hot chocolate, came out with two marshies and a good whittakers chocolate stick. Can't complain at all. Well done guys!

Don’t bother if you’re on you’re own they are very uninterested unless you’re part of a group.

Disappointing today, brownie on the small side for the price, not that yummy or fresh. Coffee standards is always good. Service today was or, sorry guys. Usually so much better than this.

Incredibly delicious cafe with a ton of coffee options. They also have a great spicy chai! Loved every bite, really great textures and tastes. They’ve got a lot of fancy coffees and so many preparations to enjoy.

Tried coffee here for first time in years but am sorry to say that i was disappointed. Two staff were arguing so loudly that i couldnt get there attention. Then it went downhill from there. The small coffee was so tiny it made me laugh. They need to learn how to make proper coffee for the prices they are charging.

Very popular cafe, staff and coffee are good, food is ok. You can order off the menu or get food from the cabinet. Lunch menu available after 11am. Busy on weekends. Overall a nice lively vibe and despite the hard surfaces, you can have a conversation without having to shout as the ceiling is high and it's relatively spacious.

First time here 9/11/22.

They served two patrons before me that came after me twice. First impression with service was horrible, but I’m American, what do I know. Coffee was average. Food looked good though, but I will not be returning.

Always my go to when I visit Wellington. A few changes since covid I guess. A confusing set up.sort of table service, sort of counter service. Why oh why. Loved it before but get that you have your reasons?
Anyway great coffee.

Always great coffee; and excellent eggs Benny (technically eggs Montreal, as I chose salmon instead of bacon). The salmon was hot smoked, eggs perfectly soft poached and served on crispy hash browns - all delicious! Not inexpensive, but all really well done

BEST cafe I have been to in New Zealand. Staff were fast, organised and friendly. Food was amazing and even though it was busy wait was not long at all. Amazing atmosphere great vibes. Wish we could have stayed longer. Coffee was amazing too. 10/10

Food was good but on the smaller serve size (that's the only reason for the loss of a star). Was extremely busy when we visited but the staff were very organized and we were well taken care of.

Deceiving from the outside good size great variety friendly staff and reasonably priced and quick considering how busy

I really think you need to seek urgently some professional help in selecting appropriate interior decor when adoring your walls with art. Certainly not acceptable in a café

Great to see the cafe open with its new kitchen. Friendly service. Picked up a chicken and leek pie to takeaway today, 17 Feb 2022. Overall delicious BUT filling had a distinct burnt taint. Going by one piece of chicken in the pie, it had ‘caught’ so that some of the chicken and the food residue had burnt which adversely affected the flavour. Hoping this comment helps the kitchen and mishaps like this don’t unduly affect L’Affare’s reputation.

Pretty good!

Had the eggs benedict with salmon and a side of creamy mushrooms.

Very reasonably priced for a central location.

Mushrooms were a little oily but still very nice.

Salmon and eggs benny was delicious.

In a covid world where it's table service only, water glasses are a bit small and quite slow to refill them.

Consistently good coffee. Haven't had any of the food but would expect your standard coffee shop food. Very fast paced and usually a line for a table during peak times.

Try the omelette very very good, chorizo, with Mexican black beans
