Logan Brown Restaurant reviews
63 Thanks for the fantastic evening! The service provided by David K was outstanding, he was absolutely lovely and even told us about the history of the building. Everyone was really lovely.
The food was delicious, we both really enjoyed out mains and even the side of brocollini was mouth-watering. Dessert was perfect too. The time between dishes was great as we waited for dessert we were more and more ready.
Look forward to dining here again in future!
Went to Logan Brown for the first time in ages and loved it. The set pricing was awesome value as the food was amazing. Great choice on the menu along with very friendly service. The place was fully booked which was nice to see in these Covid times.
Worth the price. Absolutely delicious food. Don't be fooled by the small servings, you will leave full!
Superb meal here last night. The Eggplant and Chevre Mille-feuille entree was outstanding, as was the Beef Fillet. The dessert of Pistachio & White Chocolate Mousse with Berries was heavenly. Service was excellent. The entire experience was faultless.
The $75 three course menu was excellent value for money for gourmet-Master-Chef-quality food. I had the red onion tart, then pork belly main and espresso mousse dessert with broccolini and garlic mushroom sides. We also got 2 pieces of freshly made bread and their 2 options of amazing, creamy, flavoured butter. Everything was beautifully presented and delicious.
The staff were really friendly, professional, neatly dressed and knowledgeable about the food, and the restaurant was bustling with lots of customers. Highly recommended. I'd definitely go back again.
Great staff and great environment. The food was tasty but wasn’t mouth watering. Also very small portions. Perfect for an expensive date night tho
Something seemed really wrong with the service…we arrived a few minutes early for our reservation and were told by the host to go to the bar and wait five minutes. We ordered a couple drinks from the very busy bartender and then 40 minutes later went to the host to ask what was going on. He admitted that he had forgotten that we were there. We were seated and the host took all of our orders and then the three-course prix fixe dinner took over an hour and a half to serve. Food was great and the host apologized several times for forgetting about us (no other gestures were offered), but still one of the oddest dining experiences I’ve had. Seems like they’re having a bit of a rough time over there, I wonder how long they’ll stay in business, especially if their standard of service stays this low. We even heard the couple next to us vocally complaining about the service. It’s a shame for such a long running well respected restaurant to be in such bad shape.
Definitely a 5 star restaurant, fine dining at its best. Enjoyed our 12th wedding anniversary dinner and what a treat it was, excellent service combined with exquisite food. High recommend this restaurant, best in Wellington
Very impressed. High quality flavour some food which was beautifully presented and cooked to perfection. Service was great. This was a fantastic food experience that I would recommend to anyone staying in Wellington. We will definitely be back.
OMG and a big Wow! The $75 prix fixe dinner at Logan Brown Wellington - fantastic value and delicious food! I had a flavoured bread n butter starter, Paua Ravioli, Confit Duck Leg, Panna Cotta. Incredible and not to be
missed! We do not believe in going out and paying $ for mediocre food - Logan Brown is a stellar example of interesting, delicious, well-priced, high/quality food experience! Thank you Logan Brown!
Such a lovely experience. The food was impeccable, the service- was spot on! We will definitely be back soon.
We got the set menu and we ordered all different dishes. The starters were good, the bread and butter’s taste was too complicated (herb in the bread and weird tastes in the butters), like they’re trying hard to impress (we appreciate it) but we still like simplicity better. The duck i didn’t like at all, it was sooooo salty and a bit overcooked (edges are hard), the dressing was very sweet and BBQ-ish, and the sausage.why is there sausage with my duck anyway? My partner didn’t like the fish cuz it was also really salty and got lots of heavy tastes mixed together. So we got taste fatigue soon after. I guess our expectation was a bit too high becuz of its name. Even tho we’re not pro restaurant reviewer, I have a feeling that the taste of food is a bit “outdated” and might need a rejuvenation. But, what do we know?:)
Awesome restaurant and great food, would highly recommend!
It would be appreciated if menu items which can be done gluten free or dairy free are stated on menu, rather than having to ask. A much more pleasant experience that way.
Had dinner here as part of a birthday celebration, and Logan Brown probably deserves the best restaurant in Wellington title in terms of menu to plate match. Bit disappointed that the menu is set, and only had 4 mains, and you have to get a three course meal (good way to make money, and take control away from customer). I get why they do it but I am not a fan of such restaurant model. Wait staff, while friendly, once the food order was taken, they didn't ask for another drink order throughout the night. Good food experience, not so much on the other aspects.
Congratulations. Probably the best meal and service we have ever had. A credit to your team. You should be very proud
3 Course Menu was brilliant. The staff & the food was excellent. Well worth it. Nice surroundings in the old Bank of New Zealand building on Cuba St, Wellington.
When he said there's a fishtank in the bar.he meant 'the bar top has a fish tank built into it. '
If you want to feel special yes that place is beautiful.service was amazing!
Unfortunately I can't say same for the kitchen.the menu had very limited numbers only 4 mains, I choose something just because o had to.and I didn't even enjoy because I hate smoke taste and they didn't mention the meat is smoked flavor on the menu.as it was a birthday party I didn't wanna leave but I don't think I would go back for meal.sitting and having couple of drinks will satisfy you though.
The dinner was delicious! The pistachio Cake was amazing! Very professional services!
I had a great evening! Thank you
Looking for any excuse to go back, it was an amazing way to celebrate my partner's 30th. Each dish was spot on.
