The Larder reviews
64This must be the #1 breakfast spot in all of Wellington. Perfect portion sizes. Have yet to find something on the menu that isn't tops. Crocque madame to die for.
Great chilli hot chocolate, burger, crepe and duck leg. The baked goods were good but a little dry to my liking
The quality of the food, staff and atmosphere second to none. Sarah as owner and front of house. Well it comes from the top, professional and top notch restaurant quality establishment
Easy parking, plenty of seating, a nice suburban cafe option. Sweet treats are great. Staff are warm and friendly.
6/5 stars! Great level 3 service, I had lost my face mask so they gave me a disposable one. Praise be the return of takeaways - yummmy coffee, breakie burger, fries and crossiants to share and perk us up. LOVELY SERVICE smiling eyes through the masks #kind
Just down the street, is WETA workshops. This place is the perfect coffee or food stop on your way there. Excellent service as well in a very nice place.
Busy lunchtime but got a table
Slow and a bit chaotic taking our order which caused some unease as we had an hour for lunch before needing to leave.
Fortunately, the food was prepared and served in good time, and all of it was exceptional.
Great coffee too
Thank you!
The Larder is so good that we had to wait for a table but it was definitely worth it! We particularly enjoyed the coconut and pandan eclair! Would highly recommend.
This would have to be the best Cafe I've been to. Good coffee and excellent food along with top notch service. My 1st 5 star rating.
I had the prawn omelette and it was fantastic! Really beyond expectations and something different and we'll balanced for brunch. The staff are also extremely accommodating, kind and efficient. Also got a takeaway donut and that was amazing as well!
This place is a gem! The staff are friendly, they have a seasonal menu that rotates, the food is prepared and presented beautifully, and they have a dangerously good counter full of savory and sweet baked goods. One of our favorite things to do, actually, is to stop in for coffees and a loaf of fresh seeded sourdough to go with homemade veggie soup for dinner. Definitely a place to make time for!
The food is rich and the prices are good. It is all traditional kiwi on the menu but it is of very good quality.
Awesome falafel! Great service. We didn't have a booking but they squeezed us in before our Weta Tour - the studio is very close by.
Can you believe they deleted my review. Cos I said the customer service is horrible, they served the wrong food to me and then blamed me use a dismissive way. I used to be a regular customer but I never see them smile at me. Also when I told them the food is not quality as before, they said they won't change, it should be like that. I had to accept it. Very disappointed for so many times rude treated.
As an entree I had calamari cooked to perfection. A main of snapper with crisp skin and succulent flavour followed. The meal portions were generous and accompanied by roasted potatoes with red onions and broccoli with hazelnuts. Others at the table had the beef fillet and raved about the flavour and tenderness.
Great service and beautiful food - no change table in the bathrooms left me in a tricky position with my infant. I'd still go back though.
Never order the cauliflower soup, it tasted like salty water. They didn't agree to fix it, which shows their attitude towards customers. If there was zero stars I would put zero -
This must be the BEST pie I've ever eaten!
Wagyu Brisket pie the pastry is delicious, the whole experience was delicious $12.50 but honestly worth each bite. It was one of those pies you don't want to come to an end.its that good
Brunch on a Saturday. Staff are friendly & helpful. Barista made a great short macchiarto, many get it wrong. Poached eggs on potato rosti was excellent. Eggs perfect with runny yolk, rosti crunchy & not oily. Bacon a bit overcooked for my taste. Great place before or after visiting the Weta Cave. Dogs welcome outside with outdoor diners.
