Tulsi Petone

It's really changed a lot under new management, The food taste really good and authentic. We have tried multiple dishes over the last few weeks and loved all of them. If you didn't try this restaurant yet please do it will amaze you! Garlic tikka, Tandoori wings and Lamb bhuna gosht is my favourite.

We ordered by phone 1 x take out Chicken Korma, 1 Chicken Masala and 2 naan breads. We went to pick up the order and received a Coconut Chicken (not a Masala) and then had to wait 10 more minutes to get a Chicken Masala. When we got home we found our order was wrong a second time and received a Tikka Masala - not a standard Chicken Masala. Overall for $50 I found the order small and the naan average - there was a lot of gravy and very little chicken - not recommended.

When I went to tulsi on Saturday my brother's 40th birthday party. Food was disgusting. Butter chicken was full of gravy no chicken and also plates and napkin are short or maybe the owner doesn't want anyone to eat here second. No water on the table. He charged $ 35 a head. He haven't provided enough food half of my visitors did not get food to eat. Owners will Sales this food on sunday to they lovely customers leftover one. Even go to this restaurant. Service was very very bad.

I came here on Saturday for one of my family members birthday.
The Currys that had meat in them barely had meat in them there was only grave In them.
And when I was eating my food I went up to get juice and I came back and my full plate was gone one of the staff took my plate and I anger.
And lastly the glass cups were awful the were full up with dust and bits of food on it and if someone had drunk from those glass cups someone would of got sick.
(And I'm a 14 year writing this and my experience was awful I was planning to do my 16th birthday there but I'll look some where else to do it.)

Overcharged on an advertised price by a fair amount, Very inconsistent.very watery and had 2/3 pieces of chicken, not like the other Tulsi stores.

I tried the supermarket fridge one and it wasn’t even remotely similar.
If you are a chain, you should really be the same across the board.

I went with my friends on last Monday.my experience was awesome. Food was finger licking. We ordered butter chicken which was out of the world I never had before.

Staff was so polite and helpful although there is a new management but they are handling customers so well.
Love to visit again.

Delicious food. I really loved the garlic and cheese naan, which I'd never tried before. The staff were really friendly and gave us awesome service.

I had a lovely experience at Tulsi Petone. The customer service is great and the food delicious.

Best Chicken Korma I have tasted and the Roti was to die for. Friendly staff and quick service. Will come again.

A big No to someone who like to visit this place.staff's poor customer service.bland food and some other issues which i do not want to post.

Ordered Biryani. It was nowhere close to what Biryani should be, neither in looks nor taste.
Please donot defame an Indian cuisine.
Also, ordered tandoori mushroom which was served with excessive salt proportion.

Went there once and it was pretty empty. About 20 minutes had passed and nobody had come to ask for our order until we called them over ourselves. Food didn't live up to expectations but the Mango Lassi was okay. The branch in Wellington, Cuba St is better.

Buddah Stix was the worst tonight! At least 4 tables, that came in after us, were served before us! We couldn't get any of the staff attention!

We got fed up, left and came to Tusli! We should have came here first! Its a nice chilled spot, the service was immediate and the food came out pretty quick. Loved the Rogan Josh Beef, definitely a must! We're regulars and always come away with a full belly and a smile, money well spent here!

We should have come to Tulsi first, and not been taken in by the fuller Buddah Stix, thats really gone down hill lately.

I went to this restaurant to for take away and the staff was forgot to put my drink in the parcel. When I called them back they are saying it not there mistake. Very unprofessional and unfriendly staff. There are far more better place to eat on Jackson street then going these idiots. Poor service

My favourite Indian restaurant in the Wellington region, happy to add extra cream or spice to your liking and the yummy lunch special is great value. Delicious Dahl.

It use to be really nice but now the butter chicken is more like tomato water chicken. It's runny not smooth and creamy. Way to much tomato paste used. Also the restaurant needs a bloody good clean. The booths are black along the top from build up of scum. Also the walls have food on them yuk.

Last two times I've been, have received a runny, watered down curry thats tasted really bland. Also halfway through my meal I had to drain my plate as it had filled up with water (Presumably because the rice was frozen before hand). Was truly a horrible meal and a waste of money. Use to be a nice place, with nice curry, but not anymore.

Been there for lunch. Nothing special about the special.forgot our order and took forever. Never again.
