The staff are helpful and friendly. And their photography museum at the front of the store is super cool! I really wish they stocked Leica, particularly M mount lenses as I'd prefer to give them my business due to their great customer service. Also, please sort out your website so that it is easier to purchase online.

Over the last ten or so years we’ve bought several cameras from WPS. We have always had great service, good advice, and no pressure to buy, and there’s no trying to push us into more expensive options.

We recently bought a rather expensive pair of binoculars. I had lots of emails with a nice young man named Liam, offering me some very good advice and suggestions. They didn’t have the pair that I was interested in stock (Fujinon 14x40 TSX1440) in stock, but arranged to get a sample in for us to look at. We were very impressed so ordered a pair and they arrived within a couple of days.

We are VERY impressed with the binoculars. They bring things so close, and they have a built in stabiliser which makes it great for those of us with shaky hands. They are definitely not cheap, but like everything in life, you tend to get what you pay for.

Liam was very helpful and patient with us. We highly recommend WPS for any camera/binocular etc related needs.

Staff always glad to help and answer any questions. Always friendly and greets you when you walk in. They develop film fast and to an exellent standard! My go to camera and film shop! Recommend this place for everyone! New or experienced photographers!

I had my camera and lens cleaned. Excellent job, helpful advice. They know their stuff and the shop seems to have a great range.

Despite the other positive reviews on here, I unfortunately found the staff flippant and condescending towards servicing my tripod. I had previously visited about a lens repair which they said they could do over the phone but in person they fobbed me off. I decided to give them another go with my tripod and was disappointed. They joked about selling my tripod if I didn't come back to pick it up which I found unprofessional. I ended up walking out and ordering the parts and doing the repair myself.

Great service, we went looking for our first professional camera and had no idea what we were doing. The gentleman in the shop was so helpful and got us fully set up and even threw in some freebies! All the staff were lovely and they offer a ton of services!

Got excellent information from Julian.
He spent significant time with me explaining which gear would be most likely to fit my needs (video) without persuading me to spend too much on unnecessary gear. Was great too to see and try quite a selection of cameras. I was very impressed. Will be back there again and hopefully buying the right camera for me.)

The pits Wellington photographic suppliers have had my cameras for 3 weeks to quote foe service and repair no contact NEVER reply emails or phone messages. Give me back my cameras you absolute crooks. Next stop fair go and the consumers institute. NEVER USE WPS THEY SUCK

Very helpful and knowledgeable. WPS has been around a long time and really know their stuff. They aren't pushy and recommend the best solution for you before profit. Go and pay a visit.

A great range of all sorts of photography gear. I came here interested in picking up some old film gear to add to my kit. Though I can't remember the name of the man who helped me, by crikey he was helpful. Not only was he very informative, but he was a very good salesman and offered me an excellent deal on a couple of lenses I simply couldn't turn down. The showfloor itself is well presented and easy to navigate, with everything laid out well and sectioned out properly.all round, a superb experience

Ive only been to get photos developed but it was good when I went.the photo kiosks are nice, but you need to make sure that the photos you print are the only think on your portable memory device, otherwise you have to sift through absolutely everything that you have as it doesn't seperate anything based on folders.
30+/- mins to have photos developed so that's pretty great

Cool shop, lots of cool old cameras to look at (shame they cut mine in half though) decent prices for film and development as well as helpful and informative staff.

Very knowledgeable guys and willing to share. I could have taken their information and shopped online for better prices, but firstly it feels dirty! Secondly, I think you've got to value this service, as online stores couldn't have given me the advice I needed and got.
So without WPS I would have got a good price for things that I didn't need and had to wait for!
So a no-brainer decision in the end.

Really excellent service! I went to get passport photos for my Visa and they took it right away and printed my photos out instantly.

Probably the best photographic shop in Wellington. Helpful and knowledgeable staff. Has a cool vibe with the retro showcases and photographic memorabilia on display. Plenty of mouth watering serious new stuff.

The team is so helpful. Prints are always on time. Bought a second hand Minolta from here. It's awesome.
