AA Auto Centre Mt Roskill reviews
7730/40 minute wait to seen by reception, it's not the fault of the ladies of the desk, but the fault of AA trying to cut cost at the wrong place, they should hire more people instead of being stingy with front dest workers.
If I could give them 0 stars I would. Pathetic customer service. Perhaps some management need to visit one of these places and see just how poor it is
Waited 25 minutes from 8: 10am and watched some lady with red hair chat to a co worker about her own car, and clean the toilet. Why are receptionist having to do duties like that? Is there not anyone dedicated to serving a customer?
Dreadful service, and be clear it’s not open till 5pm weekdays. The licensing function won’t deal with anyone after 4: 15pm.
Bad service, poor organised.
The guy told me line up on the left queue without asking me what I'm applying for. I waited for almost half hour then same dude ask me what I'm trying to get and ask me to line up on the right. I was waiting there for like 1 hour.
Is that hard to provide a reasonably OK service? Or being disorganised and no apology are parts of the culture in this aa branch?
Came in to do RealMe photo. No queue so I was seen straight away. Gave them my application number and passport. Four photos later. The Indian lady did it wrong. Took all of their staff at one point to try fix it. Then who appeared to be the boss told me I gave her the wrong application number because it’s not working. I received a RealMe email straight away saying it would take “5-6 weeks processing time”. So (because of this one lady’s incompetence) in six weeks, I have to come back to redo this whole process! They’re currently on hold on the phone with the Department of Internal Affairs to try redo the application that they messed up. I have wasted TWO HOURS of my time in this store for a 1min (free) task. This store is a joke! One star is actually too much, as they couldn’t even do a single basic task so should receive zero stars.
I sat my Class 2 theory test here, on a tuesday afternoon and was all done in under an hour! Only 2 guys were queued ahead of me.
Great staff too - really polite, efficient, helpful & well informed ladies behind the counter.
Worth taking a detour from the AA Penrose - their driver theory test queue's are always huge.
It's possible that we caught them at a bad time, but struggle to imagine how this office could have been more poorly organised.
Worst experience all the time. Now I stopped going there. Their staff will keep you waiting for no reason. I was standing in queue at 2.15,3 people in front and 2 at the back and it was clearly witten outside closing 3.00pm. But the Asian lady was every 2 minutes asking us to leave she will not serve after 3.00pm. We said we will wait and please serve them. She come out again to new customer and started same thing and took her outside to show 3.00 pm sign. Basically it was delaying tactics. Then she use to dissappear for 5 minutes. She asked the persn in front to write the form once again and she won. On 1 licence form she took almost 45 minutes. In between she took numereous breaks and the Indian lady next to her was fully suppotive of her. When we askes about her name she just refused to tell us name. We request AA to make sure staff wear name badge.
Also in the past they brought many reason to fail WOF. One of reason was your head lights are too bright. I said then NZTA shall ask Honda to stop making bright lights. Another time my car was failed because my car break lights were not working. I told them these are reflectors not break lights. And the staff was no these are LED lights. I take off both reflectors but still he was not accepting. I have to go to Honda and get them write a letter for my Honda Accord for front light never been opened and reflectors next to rear head lights are not LED but reflectors.
Useless staff useless service and charging extra money for service as well.
Now I go to any random garage for WOF.
Thanks but no thanks
Rude Customer service rep and they choose whom they want to serve first, not based on First in First out. Very much disappointed.
The service was poor, outrageously bad. There was a Chinese woman in it, very disrespectful. She is Chinese herself but has a bad attitude towards Chinese people. It's unbelievable that such an arrogant person can still be a manager. And the speed and efficiency of processing files are very poor, and when a bunch of files are neatly processed by Staff, they will process them in a mess and return them to you.

Went in this morning to get my license renewed. The wait time was about 40mins. Around 8-10 people in front of me but staff were doing a great job trying to keep it moving quickly. I would try to arrive before they open to miss the queue.
Staff are lovely though! Highly recommend:)
Terrible service. Arrived before opening time (8am Saturday) and the person to do driver licensing wasn’t there, until 9: 30… despite it only taking a short time once services started, I needed to be there more than 2 hours. No respect for customers’ time at all.
Never again. I have been caught once before arriving 30 minutes before their advertised closing time and been turned away. With 6 cars still lined up - fair call. Today I arrived at 3pm, an hour before their advertised closing time of 4pm (answer phone and web site). One car drove out as I pulled in, one was 1/2 way through an inspection and 2 cars waiting. Walked in and told not accepting any more WOFs.
From a health and safety perspective - if you're no longer accepting any more cars, put the cones at the entrance of the driveway, not at the workshop. I was forced to reverse a 2.5 ton boat back into a busy road. After waiting 5 mins because of traffic, thanks to the kind bloke who actually stopped and waved me out.
Application form for International Driving Permit clearly states a Passport photo can be taken at any AA centre. Not true at this one. Hope this helps someone.
Has to be the worst AA in NZ. Slowest service by a mile. Line is regularly out the door. Only 2 people in front of me in the line today and the wait was still over an hour.
Had issues with my battery on the way to pick up in-laws from the airport. The staff here were awesome, even though they were really busy they fitted me in and replaced the battery quickly so I could be on my way. Much appreciated.) If they are always like this I would highly recommend. Thanks
This place lacks basic customer service. When there is a queue for licensing, they allow for applicants to fill the form at the counter. Yet when you turn up just before closing time, they give you form and send you away. The attendant just stands there and watches people fill out the forms. Wouldn't it be better for you to make for efficiency, ask the applicants to fill the form on the side and serve somebody else? Staff really need basic customer service training skills.
New car registration, very very slow. Every 60 mins, the new staffs only can do 2 plates. At VTNZ, they can finish 10 plates with in 15 mins. Now, the Mt Roskill AA set a new policy, they only do 2 registrations for every customer, and ask customer to come back after 4pm.
Service was friendly. But it was really busy on a Saturday morning. Perhaps visit during the week if possible.
