AA Auto Centre Mt Roskill

Came here to change my name on my license. Had to get some documents approved so ended up coming twice. The staff were very polite and helpful both times. They have efficient systems in place for the licensing and auto centre. Be prepared for a bit of a wait for licensing but they have places to sit inside.

The female Chinese staff was really mean to me: (
the way she talked was just impolite and uncomfortable. She was asking me what kind of visa I got, I said student visa three times but she was not even paying attention and didn't hear me she even got annoyed at me "how do u not know what visa u got? " And when I asked hey more questions I can't believe she said "do I really have to explain everything to u like this? "
I'm just a high school student who wanted to do the ird number application, what made her have such a bad attitude to the customers?

Very helpful staff members. I knew exactly what to expect, and the gentleman that completed the pre-purchase inspection took the time to explain everything to me without sounding rushed. He was also happy to answer my questions.

Great experience here these people were efficient and helpful and went way above and beyond to assist me highly recommended

Totally out of order, everyone have their own line and no staff come to help.

Instructions are too bad, not easy to find and not easy to understand.

We decide to leave and find another place.

Wait times can be long, went past at 8am and lines of cars waiting for WOF extended out to the street. Came back at 11am and although lines were only 3 cars deep, the process took over an hour. Beginning to wonder if the discount from being an AA member is worth it!

Went to get a recheck on a leaking hose, my mechanic just said it needed tightening so did and went back, failed again cause I didnt clean the bottom of the hose which they didnt mention, went back again and wait in line for a hour while a lady pulls into the end of line, makes a mechanic do her recheck and leaves while I'm still waiting. Also go in the left lane, usually 20-40mins faster when its busy

Went in at 3: 20pm when they close at 4pm. It was just to get a replacement license ordered and they said they couldn't do it as its after 3pm? !

Some times it can come down to an individual mechanic or as they are like to say technician, and far enough the top half of the modern vehicle is more computerised.the guy who worked on my car [youngish guy with specs], saved me around $2000 by not accepting having to replace a whole unit when two bolts solved the problem.
Yes itsy not have worked, but he tried and it did. IIL BE BACK. Great service.

Not recommended at all, I took my car for pre purchase assessment and the guy who inspected the car has written the front wiper does not work, actually the wiper work perfectly but it was not water inside the wiper bottle. He must check the water level before writes down. As well as, he has mentioned there is a wet carpet in front driving foot and when I checked it was not.

The stale stench of urinals is just what I need in my 30 minute wait for getting a license renewal -Not to mention the wait queue.

Don't go there for pre purchase check. You will get a report without test drive. Inspection will complete in less than 20mins. Had a really bad experience. Do not recommend at all.

Went there to get a warrant on my car. It failed because both back tires were bulging. I went straight away to have new tires fitted and went back to a recheck within an hour. The guy who rechecked my car asked me twice if I had fitted my front tires to my back tires - it would have been helpful if he explained why he asked me the question. I have since learnt that when new tires are fitted the better tires should always be at the front for a front wheel drive!

I went here for a pre purchase inspection and to add some licence endorsements. It is quite a busy AA and so you may have to wait in line a bit but the staff were professional and friendly and the vehicle inspection was well explained and completed in about 60mins vs the 90mins quoted so I didn't have to wait as long.

We went there for a pre-purchase full check which costed more than average in NZ (169$) so we were expecting a really good service. The staff at front desk is friendly enough and the check was very very thorough which is good (they give a list with explanations and pictures of what's wrong etc), however the particular mechanics who worked on our car shouldn't do this for a job! Not only did he not find a problem with the steering wheel that our personal mechanics already told us about (we had to tell about this problem to our buyer ourselves), but he also broke the driver door that can't open from the inside anymore! We can't prove that it was working perfectly before he touched it therefore we need to pay for having it fixed. Total disgrace. We ended up going to another REAL mechanics down the road to have the car checked again and fixed. I strongly do not recommend this AA center for pre-purchase checks.

Twice the price of a nearby WOF place but great service. I was in and out in under 20 minutes which isn’t the case with the cheaper place.
