AA Auto Centre Mt Roskill

Went here for a service on my ute. The staff were friendly and the price was alright. A special mention to the mechanic (I think he was Indian, black jacket and pants, glasses and beanie) who rang me after the service to explain things and then showed me in person what had been done. He also gave his honest opinion on what work needed to be done ASAP and what could wait until a little later and told me he'd be in touch with me about ordering a part for a repair.

I get my registration and WOF done here. I believe as a long term AA member. The WOF charge is excessive. However they docarry out a fair check of your car, which is important to me. This time round they found my car had a broken engine mount. On the spot the technician gave me what i considered to be a very fair quote for the repair. And came back next day and had the repaired carried out while i waited. I score them highly for this side of rheir operation. Only dowside is the wait time to actually get in the door to be served. They need more admin staff. Do my rating had taken that ans WOF price into account. An AA member should get a worthy discount. More than $10

Was there to book a test for learner test. Ihad to wait in the cue of 4 people in front of me for two hours one receptionist was doing all sorts of things eye screaning and other things and once for reallyme photo id had to wait for long

License renewal: Turned away as the one staff member was too busy at 3.30 yesterday. Website says 8.00 open. Turned up to find the driver licensing hours begin at 8.30. Currently four people in the queue. AA need more licensing staff, better website information, ability to make appointments, or to lose the contract in my opinion.

First time I used them and the last time. From the moment I walked in to drop my car off I was worried I had made the wrong decision. The place was a disorganised, unprofessional mess, to put it mildly. Very sloppy & unprofessional attitude in general. I requested a quote based on their recommendations for work that needed to be done but still no response after 2 emails & 2 weeks. Very poor customer service.

1 service for Drivers licencing, she left to go on break while 6 of us still in que. Still waiting.

No urgency for time and people waiting. The indian lady taking her sweet time. Offering services unnecessary even the customer says no she keeps going on and on. She seems overly helpful which when u have 10 people waiting she needs to get to the point. Very disappointing bad service old people waiting in the rain. Need more staff and trained staff. I got late for work.

I went for a WOF inspection, the reception lady is friendly, so are the mechanics whom inspected and repaired the fog lights. Overall a very good experience.

Waited for 10 minutes in line of just me for WOF, pretty average front of house customer service, and it was only 0920 so couldn't be too jaded, 2 lanes open for WOF and 3 other cars told no way would be completed I. 45 minutes, no shelter, bit confusing what supposed to do, had read poor reviews but was sort of desperate, would not recommend if alternative

Got my warrant done and the staff were so rude! I went and stood next to my car when I saw it come out and the guy just walked straight past me back inside then 5 minutes later I get a call to say my car is ready, yes I know I'm standing right next to it! Then the lady from behind the desk brought out the paper and I asked what the notes said because the hand writing was horrific and she couldn't explain it to me. Won't be coming back here would rather spend more to get it redone somewhere else.

Went to get my drivers license renewed and updated to my married name and the lady serving me this morning (Zheng, 9am on 9 March 2022) was extremely abrupt and did not want to accept a form of name change that was stated on the Drivers Licence Renewal Form as being an acceptable form of name-change evidence. She told me to wait until my Marriage Certificate was received (even though my license is about to expire leaving me unable to drive legally) and suggested I keep calling the NZ Government to chase up my Marriage Certificate - as if that’s up to me! I suggest the staff at this AA be better trained to understand what is on THEIR OWN renewal forms and also understand how some of these legally accepted certifications work as there seems to be a lack of knowledge.

Understaffed, still making customers wait in the sun for a long time, unable to do simple applications online. AA blames Covid restrictions but there’s no adaptions to their business, years into the pandemic.

I went there to renew my driving licence. The service was great. I'd say if you are to renew licence, be mindful of sun burn, as the queue/line is in the sun (there is no shading area).

Great service and customer service were very professional and helpful.
My only gripe is that their waiting area outside (red light restriction) could be improved. They need to install a marquee for customers to wait in due to the sun can be overwhelming for some especially the elderly.

They are good service, my first time I've been there, workers they come asking it's very excellent staff they take my car check tell me the problem of my car, good and excellent workers

I just want to shout a massive thank you to the Mt Roskill team for assisting my fiancé.

She had been scammed pretty bad by a car dealership who almost got away with selling her a car in poor condition. The team were able to provide a diagnostic report on the car which she took back to the dealership and got a refund. The dealerships mechanic had told her all was well and that the car had been fixed. The salesman at the dealership also reinforced this. At first glance it appeared that way but then we noticed the noises it started making a few days in and knew something was wrong… The team at AA Mt Roskill spotted several seriously concerning issues with the car which could’ve caused a serious accident and not to mention very expensive repairs. They also noticed other smaller things (but not so small as they weren’t mentioned at sale!) like rust through the entire undercarriage, an oil leak and a damaged radiator. All avoided thanks to AA.

Trustworthy bunch at AA and damn fine service. I don’t know what prices are like compared to other places but at least you can trust them and that’s all I care about. Thank you!

I just had the WORST customer service ever! The “mechanics” are very rude people! The treatment was so bad that I decided to pay again for my WOF somewhere else, just so I didn’t have to deal with that kind of people anymore! The long beard guy is the worst of them…DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY THERE! The office ladies were nice by the way.

Wait times can be long, went past at 8am and lines of cars waiting for WOF extended out to the street. Came back at 11am and although lines were only 3 cars deep, the process took over an hour. A year later and another hour and a half! At least you can get a coffee at Kreem cafe next door while you are waiting. Beginning to wonder if the discount from being an AA member is worth it!

I was given 2 different WOF comments to fix: one is for worn out front tyre and the hood screws. I did both when I returned my car to get my sticker a new comment was given to my tyre saying I have 2 different tyre size. The mechanic told me i Just need to buy another tyre. Which costed me more.
