We contacted AES to supply and install two Panasonic Heat Pumps at our place.
Steven came over to quote and Jatinder and Nathan came to install. Awesome guys, very professional and easy to deal with. All are a credit to the company.
A clean and tidy worksite was left and the job was completed in good time.
Being a tradesman myself I appreciate a job well done.
I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending the team at AES to family and friends in the future

Solid communication throughout the process combined with the professionalism of the installers.

AES installed an air conditioning system in the roof of our Mt Albert bungalow in early 2021. In December 2021 we were woken at 4am to the sound of water dripping through the ceiling in the hallway through an old HRV duct and surrounding panels. Over the next 3 hours, a huge volume of water came through - we collected it in buckets and then tipped the buckets into the washing machine as a means of recording the volume, which was astonishing and quite distressing. We ended up with a full washing machine tub.

To AES' credit, they were contactable very early in the morning and a team were with us to assess and repair the system by 8am. They determined that the air conditioning system had malfunctioned, resulting in the collection of water within the ducting. The weight of accumulated water eventually punctured the ducting where it lay over the old HRV duct.

Once the repairs had been made, we became very keen to ensure that there would be no such malfunction again - had we not been home, the amount of water coming through would have caused serious damage to our floorboards, carpet and possibly electrical wiring as well. This is where we have really struggled with AES.

Despite agreeing with AES that it would be sensible to have the system serviced in January/February 2022 to ensure that the issue had been resolved, it proved impossible to book this with AES. We eventually gave up and booked the service with Fujitsu. Fujitsu then asked AES to install a P-Trap as the original installation was not in accordance with their guidelines. We arranged for AES to access the house and the system and the P-Trap was installed, but AES have since contacted us to say that they are unhappy with their own installation of this feature and could they have further access to correct it? This appeared urgent, but the team then failed to turn up on the day and no further contact has been made by AES despite our repeated attempts to arrange a further appointment.

Overall, our experience with AES has been extremely frustrating. We are left with an air conditioning system that we don't entirely trust. We have damaged paintwork in the hallway from the leak and the manhole in the bathroom is damaged as a result of the sheer number of AES and Fujitsu contractors who have entered the ceiling cavity to assess and repair the system since its installation. Given the value of the initial spend, I expected better and, sadly, this is not a company that I could recommend to anyone.

Whilst price and internal install was good (some 4 months ago), what let AES down was me having to chase AES approx 4 times re install date over 3 months and the electrician doing his install bit. Buyer beware - make sure you go through the outside ducting plan with the electrician before work starts. The muppet who did mine, stuck conduit ducting at knee height down a very visible side of my house "because it was easier for him". No apology, lied about filling the drill holes, didn't vacuum inside after himself - was not impressed. Tarnished what would've been a reasonable install, once the kit finally arrived in NZ. AES were not proactive in keeping me up to date once I'd paid 50% deposit which was very disappointing. After sending a complaint email, it was quickly followed up by the owner/director but the damage to their brand had already been done - I wouldn't highly recommend AES to friends or family.

Awesome pre-sale communication to get your business. Then a nightmare to deal with post sale. I'll definitely not use them again. Installer even drilled a random hole at the side of the roof without checking the wooden frame and left it as it is without even telling us about it.

Five stars for the sales team, who were great, and four stars for the installers, mostly because Rushvik was so lovely. The other guys broke and killed our young avocado tree in the process, and one didn’t wear a mask indoors, so that was a bit of a shame.
Communication with the admin team, however, was terrible and gets only one star. The quote said that we had to pay half the price upfront and then the office would contact us to make an appointment. This didn’t happen – so two weeks later we started calling the office. The process for this is cumbersome, as you can only call a call centre, who tell you that someone will call you back. Then nobody calls you back. There is no other way of communication (no email or text), and nobody seems to be directly responsible for each client, so you get a new person on the phone each time who doesn’t know what’s going on.
We finally got a call back one morning, saying that they’d had a cancellation for that day, and would we want to take the slot. Needless to say, we couldn’t at such short notice, since we had to organise time off and hire and install scaffolding. We finally got an appointment for the next week. In wise foresight, hubby called the office to confirm the appointment the day before the install, before going out to get the scaffolding. Lucky he did, because he was informed that the appointment had been cancelled … if he hadn’t called, we would have wasted time and money for the scaffolding, and only found out about the cancellation when nobody showed up.
We totally get that employers can’t predict when their staff get Covid, but they need to communicate this to the client. Install finally went ahead more than two months after making the down payment. When the installers finished up, we noticed that the unit hadn’t been connected to the power yet. We asked when the electrician would come and got told, oh, yeah nah he has Covid, and that we needed to make another appointment with the office. Again, it would have been nice to have this communicated to us earlier. At that point, my husband started hounding the call centre with multiple phone calls a day, trying to be the squeaky wheel. Then communication improved, and the electrician came the next week.
Overall three stars, but I wouldn’t recommend this company to a friend.

A professional experienced outfit that understood exactly what we needed and offered options. From enquiry to installation was just under 4 weeks and we are delighted with our new heatpump. Happy to recommend to others.

A little disappointed by our experience with AES. The assessment by Steven was great and he was a huge help throughout the process and with issues that arose. We are completely happy with the unit we were supplied, it's powerful for our big space and a good choice by AES. But there were a number of things that happened for which I wouldn't recommend AES to others going forward. The installers were friendly and they navigated a few unforeseen issues such as the presence of a steel beam in the area first intended for the hoses to exit the room. But the house was left with a number of areas to patch up because of this issue, and a fair amount of debris on the ground from the drilling. I understand that the beam wasn't AES's fault, but it's a mighty huge hole to drill when they're not sure what's within a wall cavity, and something that I think shouldn't be left for customers to rectify, if and when it occurs. The next issue was when we asked for the size of the polybase, so we could prepare a suitable area for the external unit to sit on, only to find we'd been given the dimensions of the unit, not the base, and now it's overhanging the space, looks rather poor, and I have no way to improve the foundations now the unit is in place. I asked AES about the hole repair and received no official response from my emails. It was only when I messaged the assessor directly that he passed on the message from the owner that it wasn't their responsibility. I appreciate that not all jobs go as planned, but this result wasn't representative of the professional company they appeared to be.

Just wanted to say thank you to the guys that came and installed the unit yesterday.they were extremely good.i work from home and I have had contractors here before turning off the power willy nilly, being disruptive etc. These guys were extremely professional and were conscious of the situation.they even managed to do the work without disrupting my power / internet connection.it was a very difficult install for them too and was done perfectly.

A mixed bag from what is obviously a good and reputable company. Initial site inspection was really professional and helpful, the only company that bothered to check my electrical circuits to make sure where I wanted it was on the right circuit when quoting.

Installation and final product had issues. Unit was installed while I was away. Came back to see the outside unit had quite a large and noticeable ding in it. This would have been patently obvious to the installer but nothing said. Now to be fair and balanced, when I raised this they did respond promptly and we negotiated a discount for the cosmetic damage. I guess I was just miffed it was left to me to discover.

Sadly, also, about a week after paying the invoice I went to clean the filter.and there's a set of 3 or 4 fairly large scratches in the plastic frontage of the unit too. Because it's gloss white I didn't see them until closer up. Again just seems a lack of care and attention and rough handling from the installers.

So yeah, I'm sure they're a good outfit but my overall experience wasn't optimal.

Great team of three led by Louis for a tricky heat pump install. Thorough workmanship and a clear eye for detail. Extra thanks to Milan for his multi talented skills. Highly recommended.

After receiving five, very competitive ducted system quotes, I'm so glad we chose and went ahead with AES. These fine men were professional, kind, polite and tidy from start to finish. The day commenced at 0800H with a walk-through of the fitting process and their team work and communication with us was completely on point throughout. The boys also gave us a quick yet thorough tutorial of the LCD panel and its features. Thank you Steven, Jordan, Onkar, Lewis and Javed for your stellar work! I absolutely recommend the AES team for your ducted system needs. Our house doesn't feel like a furnace anymore. God bless!)

Easy booking procedure and technician was pleasant and did a good job.
Only negative is that he was about 20 min late arriving

We recently got 3 heat pumps at our property and wanted to share our experience with this awesome team at Auckland Energy solutions. Right from the stage of site visit for a quote to the installation, we were really impressed with the work ethic, politeness of the people involved. Their customer service team is also awesome and prompt. We strongly recommend this team for any heat pump related business (I understand they are into other areas as well)
Thank you again team Auckland Energy Solutions.

AES were the most economical heat pump providers of 3 quotes we received. They were actually $500 cheaper and the Mitsubishi heat pump came with wifi. The sales guy was really thoughtful when it came to the placement inside the house, as well as the placement of the outside unit. The installation was professionally executed and we are really happy with the workmanship and customer service we received. Would highly recommend.

Wonderful, professional company to deal with. The whole team was exceptional to deal with: from the sales consultant to the installation team. The ducted system has made a big difference to the comfort in our home and I can highly recommend both the company and the product. If you are considering a ducted heating/cooling system, definitely give these guys a call.
