Auckland City Toyota - Mt Wellington

The receptionist of Toyata Mt Wellington is inhospitable and unfriendly. Their service does not deserve its costly price. There is no system to follow up customers’ feedback of the service, which provides unsatisfied experiences to the customers. Lacking the brand awareness, this store does not put customers as its first priority, does not attach to the details. Without a good corporation culture, I will not recommend you to do the car services at this store.

Had my company vehicle serviced under level3 lockdown, very good customer service and their workmanship went above and beyond

I booked my first appointment at Auckland City Toyota – Mt Wellington branch after receiving an email reminder a month prior to my car service being due, but from the Albany branch (which is not local but where I purchased the car from). I made a booking online for a car service and loan car which was quick and easy. A friendly staff member phoned the following day to check what I required, quoted the price and confirmed my appointment. When I arrived at the office a month later through the showroom door and said I was getting my car serviced, the GM warmly greeted me and explained that Isha would help me and pointed me in her direction. She explained the loan car details and re-confirmed what my car was booked in for to ensure everything was covered. She later phoned to say the car was ready which was about an hour earlier than expected, which was great. The exterior of the car was sparkling from being freshly washed and the interior had been perfectly cleaned and sanitised. Overall, the job was well done, cost exactly what was quoted and the invoice had everything clearly itemised. The staff I dealt with are all friendly and professional. I highly recommend Auckland City Toyota – Mount Wellington branch and look forward to dealing with them in future for all my car servicing and mechanical requirements.

It was made very easy for me to purchase a car during level 3. Jason and Taylor were very helpful and professional. They did exactly what they promised. I look forward to receiving my new mats when they arrive.

Pay a premium for mechanics who are meant to be Toyota experts, but it’s clear they aren’t. Unable to identify the recurring faults were caused by a damaged light sub assy. I had to deduce the cause myself a year later. So they replaced the light computer and gave me the car back with 2 new new electrical problems: Power steering not functioning and the headlight flickers. Should’ve just gone to an auto electrician. Very disappointed, but now I have no choice but to go back so they can try to repair whatever they did to cause the new problems. Staff are doing the best they can I guess. But it’s still very frustrating. Driving a car with heavy steering for the next 2 weeks is horrible and dangerous. Not ideal in the slightest. All due to lack of expertise that one would expect

I went to this branch around 8.05AM this morning （12/07/2021）to buy the auto transmission fluid for my Lexus RX330. The parts sales female staff told me they don't have the stock of ATF T-IV without even check on her computer? And suggest me to use different type of fluid.and then ask me to try other company.

Fortunately, another guy found two bottles of T-IV from the shelf.

My conclusion
1. The guy is the best! He need a pay rise on his performance review.

2. The female staff need moreeeeee training and a good attitude on her job. Her "advice" will damage customers car and lost customer.

The front desk staff should learn the way how to apologize AND improve their customer service attitude

Took car for service. Took a bit longer than first quoted due to unforeseen extras requiring attention. Service people very polite and attentive

My car was there for 9.5 hours for car service, tyres replacement and alignment. When I called up for making appointment, I was told by your staff that will take approximately 3 hours for servicing includes cleaning which was not completed. I spent nearly $1000 for servicing and I was expecting a better service from your branch. Very disappointed.

My family has been with them for decades for most of our annual car servicing and WoF.

The pricing is reasonable and at times they run promotions (I just got my WoF done for free last time! Woohoo)

They are really friendly, reliable & accommodating. E.g. I've had issues with my work schedule and can often only make last min bookings, they understood and were able to fit me in when I was desperate. Very thankful for that.

I like how professional and patient they are. Even when they were crazily busy, they WOULD still explain the service rundown and every little details about the state of your car before you leave.

Furthermore, we have also bought 2 Toyota imports from them in the past and the entire process has been smooth and hassle free.

They know their trade! Having them, I know for sure our cars are in good hands.

Personally I have not found another place better!

Very disappointed with the customer care and service received. I have been trying to contact the service manager to address my complaints about how dissatisfying my first service was and called them many times to receive the answer that either he is away or he is busy. Not even once did they call me back. I mentioned my complaint to someone who picked up the call but received a very disappointing answer.

Toyota Mt Wellington is the Best in Every way from sales to Finance to Service as we are with them from last 3 years bought my car and also finance and insurance every thing they make it very quick Efficient. Start with Sales guy Mr. Ringo Best as in sales offer better option, Mr. Michael Great Short it our finance and Insurance in half n hour time. And help around in different issue in very great professional manner. Also Mr. Varun Manek and Mr. Scoot Help out and Advice in service and part very quick and Efficient way with pick up and drop off service. I Highly Recommended Toyota Mt. Great brand for cars but services from dealer are sky high prices not double 3 times more charges than standard market

Highly overpriced quotes to fix minor problems! Told me to replace the whole aircon compressor for around $5000! Took it to another mechanic who diagnose it to be a broken valve. Solved for less than $800! Terrible service.

Completely impressed by the Mt Wellington Toyota branch. I went to get help to change my tow ball and Scott went out of his way to help me with that. I have been to Suzuki and a few other mechanics and all of them turned me away until I tried my luck with Toyota Mt Wellington as I needed it to be done today. Anyways will definitely recommend to anyone wanting to buy Toyota products or services. Helpful bunch of people.

I want to give them 0 zero rating as they have untrained mechanic. Explain them the fault very properly instead of replacing the electric water pump and thermostat they diagnosed your car and clean the faulty parts. And charged me $448.50 for not fixing my car properly same problem comes back after 2 days. This time they said oh sir you have to replace the parts and we don’t have them in stock right now. Been to I tech Automotive not even fixed my car also explained me what was the fault for just $450.
