Have had the HRV ventilation system for many many years now.best thing i ever done. No signs of mold anywhere and the house is always dry during the winter months that i no longer use my log burner or heat pump (, just a heavy blanket every now and then during winter is all i need now) Draws in warm air on winter days and cool air during summer nights. As i said before.because the inside of the house is dry all the time.there is no musty smell, mold or dampness at all.making it feel a lot warmer and a lot more healthier for the family. Totally Awesome Product.worth every cent and am so glad i have one

Praneel arrived on time and said it would take an hour, 45 minutes later all done. He explained the system after showing which buttons to push, he made it easy for me to understand the system. Looking forward in the next 2 years too see him again.

Very poor service, dont just believe them when they say you need a service. They called us to say we needed a service, charged us $230 and it turns out they couldnt even do anything to the system because it was "too old". You couldnt tell us that BEFORE charging us, could you.

Appalling service. Called to get assistance a week ago on resetting the settings an HRV for a new property, and was promised a callback twice from an operations manager as only they know how to do this. Still heard no word yet. Doesn't appear that the servicing team are trained whatsoever and can only recite what the instruction manual says.

1 star is actually too many stars but better to give them that than no stars becaus no stars doesnt affect their ranking! DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT USE HRV! BAD COMPANY, BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Im a property manager, I have a number of properties with HRV in them. I would like to advise everyone not to use HRV. Your systems do not do what they claim and your after-service is appalling. We had an HRV system in one of the properties we manage serviced. They advised it was old and required an upgrade. The owners paid around $1600 odd for the upgrade but the amount of condensation on the windows didnt change much. It took umpteen calls, a few emails and 3 months of waiting for HRV to actually return to the property to advise the system was working as it should and there was nothing more they could do to reduce the condensation! They suggested the lack of insulation was most likely the cause of the problem - but the property is insulated up to 2019 Regulations!

Last week I visited the house. I showed the tenant how to put the fan on to winter setting as the condensation on the master bedroom windows along with mildew growing on the curtains continues. We contacted HRV and this time they agreed to send someone within the week. However 10 minutes before they were due to arrive they contacted us to say they would now be 40 minutes late! When I contacted them they advised the technician was sick and they had to reschedule people! When the substitute tech arrived they said the system was working fine and suggested that the problem this time was the fact that the curtains did not have much of an air gap around them and so the system could not blow air around them to remove the moisture off the windows! The technician suggested my tenant shouldn't fully close the curtains and/or move the edges of them away from the wall to allow air flow. When she questioned how that would be effective because now the cold air would get through the gap he said that would not be the case!

Fortunately on this occasion I was present and asked the technician if he was having us on but he wasnt, he even showed us how we should pull the curtains away from the wall and window. Eventually he contacted HRV and advised he would put a clip around the air vent in the master bedroom to direct the air flow towards the window and that now miraculously the amount of air blowing out of the vent had increased from 3.something to 5.something. Lets see if that works but to be honest I cannot see how its going to improve the situation but lets wait and see.

I cannot recommend HRV to any of my landlords! Shame on you HRV for not providing better service, for all the money you spend at Home shows, and TV advertising all you had to do was look after one customer and you would have gotten recommendations for all our properties; however it seems Im not alone in being disappointed in your product and aftercare.

So if you are thinking of using HRV I suggest you dont, go to any other company but HRV, they are full of hype. And just so you know one of the reasons their service is so bad is they are franchised with lack of support after the system has been installed. It might have been a good company once but no longer.

I would have thought HRV were use to all the negative publicity. Or maybe I just hit more of a nerve or maybe I was a bit too 'passionate' in my review. But regardless my original review was deleted. So I will be less passionate.

One star is too many in my humble opinion. Why we signed with them I don't know, maybe just their marketing spin - DON'T BELIEVE IT. Their sales people are just shy of bullies. This has to be, by far, the worst company I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. DO NOT USE HRV.

Very terrible customer service. Our ventilation system is not working. I tried to contact them a few times and they did not reply at all. One people said he doesn’t know he needs to contact another department and then there is no response after that. This the worst customer experience I ever have.

You can buy the components at any hardware joint and bang one up for $150 - $400. HRV will charge you $4000.

They're are a scam, and their sales tactics verge on fraud. They got pinged on Campbell Live for ripping off an old lady.

Total Rip Off. Their ventilation system is just ripoff. I recently found out about their filter after I could see the ring marks all around the vents in the house. Their filter has been sucking all the dust and bacteria from the roof and been sending back into the house. I called the HRV guys other day and they came in and cleaned the ring circles, I asked to explain how I get that and they had no answer. I checked with a another local company and then only got to know why we get the rings around the vents. Never go for HRV.

I got a heat pump and heat transfer through HRV, WORST DECISION EVER! All they care about is selling the product and screw the rest, incompetent installation, we had water running down the walls and loud noises in the ceiling, had people come and look at it 15 times, its been a year now and the pump is still not working! The heat transfer is hopeless too, we had a fire on in the weekend, the transfer did nothing! So many days off to be home for them to come around, now all I get is when I ring is I'll ring you back and they never do. AVOID!

I have had the worst experience with HRV and cannot believe they are still in business. We love our HRV, but Ignoring their customers is obviously how they work, and I cannot believe how I have been treated!

You have got to be kidding. Several shocking reviews in a row and then lots of good ones - with no comments. If that doesn't scream 'staff members' I don't know what does. Just another nail in the coffin for Hrv. I just wished I had done my due diligence before making my poor decision. In good conscience I can't call them crooks; but pretty close. Please consider your choice wisely before signing up a deal with these guys. Terrible Terrible company!

PEOPLE OF N. Z STAY AWAY AND DON'T SUPPORT THESE BULLYS! HRV u are scumbags! Earning massive profits and providing the most disgusting workmanship and service I have ever seen. When are you going to fix my ceiling that your staff ruined? Why are you running away? Can't u accept your responsibilitys and come round here to fix the ceiling. Is it out fault u can't get the right staff? U have ruined our ceiling and you have told us to put up with it? Why do we have to?
