Mitre 10 MEGA Mt Wellington

After waiting for 15 minutes to receive a response from customer services, I asked if the store had any Hipkiss brass eyelet sets. They put me on to the tool shop which surprised me. The guy (tool shop) that answered the phone was rude and treated me as more of a nuisance. He basically couldn't care. Very very poor service.

This Mtre 10 was recommended as having the most knowledge heating department.wow! Its absolutely true

spoke to Al who was not only knowledgeable but was a really lovely person and able to offer genuine recommendations that were specific to my requirements. I wasnt just "a sale".

. Also highly recommend Mike who is their install guru, another really decent chap

Interesting place to shop. A number of non native staff who really shouldn't be working in an area they have no skills or understanding blended with a great big tall kiwi gent who has worked there since day one and really knows his stuff. It is gems like him that would encourage me to return. Shop is well laid out, sadly some of the staff don't know what products they have and where they are.

Staffs at the garden centre were extremely rude and unhelpful. Could it be the fact that they do not have any knowledge in this field? Worst service I have seen.

4 stars but really unsure. Have visited her a few times and just feel like the customer service is so hit and miss. But they do have a good product range at affordable prices.

Did not like the customer service at all, i ordered a machine car polisher online and selected CLICK AND COLLECT, my order was not ready even after an hour, i went to the staff and asked for help the girl helped me and was so rude no greetings nothing at all, se took my signature and said you may leave now! Did not even tell us that the exit is right behind us (being new to town and not knowing about it) did not like it at all! Sorry but had to tell you this.

Great store especially being close to Wet&Forget, nice friendly and knowledgeable staff being very helpful, helps also that there is a Columbus coffee shop inside with an very nice Barista who is friendly and enthusiastic plus good at his work. Not necessarily the biggest Mitre 10 in Auckland but very handy with a very good, wide variety of products for all ones needs, from contractors to just your everyday home handyman.

Very good store with lots of home maintenance products. Found a great rust conversion/preventative paint, Hammerite, that I couldn't get from Resene in the quantity and colour I needed.

Bought a Melamine 2 door cupboard last week with great help from the girl in that department and went back to get extra shelving yesterday. Same girl
showed me to the timber department and the sheets of Melamine and arranged for a very helpful guy to actually cut it into 3 exact size shelves so it would fit into my little Honda. Just solved such a problem for me and so pleasantly.
Went back later to get shelf supports and the gentleman told me aisle 4
and then took the trouble to follow me down to make sure I was looking in the right place (I wasn't)
What a great retail experience, so rare these days.

Walked around for ages trying to find someone to help me, when I did he said "sorry not my department" would get someone else to help. Waited for 40mins to then find out sorry the person in that department has gone to lunch. Im sure anyone could have located a 35A light switch for an oven had he asked another staff member.

I love this place because most of the shop assistants are very knowledgeable. Its not about showing the right aisle but about helping you get exactly the right product. Though the pricing at Bunnings might be good, I am afraid to say their shop assistants are pretty clueless (mt wellington).

Messed up a DIY project at home and the staff at Mitre 10 saved the day! They were so friendly, knowledgeable, and understanding of the situation. Really enjoyed my visit to this store.

Always enjoy a visit to Mitre 10 Mega Mt Wellington even if only browsing. There was staff all over the place so you'd never be short of assistance if required.

They have a fantastic range of products and am looking forward to seeing the newly upgraded garden centre and Columbus Cafè when completed later this year.

The cafe is being renovated and when I asked for eggs the man behind the counter laughed at me.

Somewhat an okay experience and always hectic though. The sales team in the BBQ area was great though, he was able to find what we needed

Nice small store. Can't leave out the normal doors when you don't purchase I had to go out the check out which was a pain.

Brilliant friendly staff. Very knowledgable in the garden centre. Was a real pleasure.prices are a bit high, but worth it sometimes. Would definitely go again

I normally don't go this far from home to shop at a Mitre 10 store but nowhere else had the grease I wanted in stock. They confirmed by phone and offered to hold some for me, so off I went. This place is huge, and full of interesting stuff. It is also staffed by the friendliest people you could want to meet and give money to. I met the guy who promised to hold the grease for me as I was browsing for other things. I saw my neighbour too, who works there, but he was too busy helping people to chat to me! I'll go there again when my local store doesn't have what I want.

Useless?

Very baddd customer service at CLICK & COLLECT. This indian lady was the only one doing all the work while the rest comes n goes. She too slow needa speed up lady. Her Kind were not doing anything ‍️No one helped me tho I was still standing there for 10mins looking around while she was with another customer. I told her to get someone but she said I’ll be with u in a minute. What a useless service with too many workers walking around doing nothing and on their phones. I was in a rush to go somewhere but went late cos of ur bad service

Garden centre and cafe being redeveloped so not a lot of plants available currently. Mostly smaller things like seedlings.
