Such lovely staff, the most amazing food in the heart of mt eden but the worst and rudest owner, started yelling at her staff at one point and it was very disgusting to
watch.hopefully the staff are okay

I used to come here all the time for drinks and snacks. I went today ; customer service is zero, the girls over there don’t know how to offer customer service. I waited 15-20 minutes and ended up leaving the restaurant. Racism and no care attitude. It’s not the same as it was before. Manager should give some training to the staff.
Definitely not going there again. I wish I can give -ve rating.

Very disappointing meal and drinks at an old local favourite. Cocktail was a watered down Aperol spritz, and food was very substandard. Served by three waitstaff but none of them could answer a question about the menu and to top it off, had to put our own food in takeaway boxes.
Suggest the chef needs some upskilling as do the waitstaff.
Sad to see an icon lowered to this standard.

Great food. Fantastic cocktails. Recommend to try their big cocktails selection. 1 is enough for 2 or 3 persons.

Cool as place and vibe but quite stingy on the alcohol in the cocktails, cant really feel tipsy on them at all would be great to see more improvement on that so its worth its price. Been here a few years now:)

They have recently started a Sunday Roast. We tried the Lamb Shank Sunday Roast a which is quite well proportioned and great in taste. Other Recommendation - Fries. All in all a great Bar to go out with your partner, friends or colleagues.

This place is a real highlight of Mt Eden. Started out night here with a few cocktails and snacks. The cocktails here are sublime. We got the wrong order brought to the table but the staff were incredibly apologetic and remade the drink.

The cauliflower bites were great and so was the service. Attentative and friendly but not overbearing. Honestly a 5/5 start to the night.

Amazing little bar! Incredible service, delicious food and great drinks. 10/10 cannot recommend highly enough!

One of my favourite restaurants.venue isn't to large which gives it a homely feel. Food was AMAZING and drinks are greatly priced. Really good customer service, would definitely recommend and go again. Ordered too much food so had to go home with a doggy bag but wasn't upset about it at all.

We came to this place recommended by a daughter to have a “sharing bowl” of cocktails… sounded a great idea, but when ordered it didn’t come out in a bowl (even though still described as a bowl) because they only had one bowl. Felt a little cheated out of $35 because didn’t really want a carafe and glasses. Had a few jugs of beer and glasses or rose with some snacks and $200+ later left thinking cool place but a huge let down and we didn’t achieve the main goal of going there for a cocktail bowl… staff super friendly however

The cocktail 5stars was very nice but the chips 3stars feels old as not even hot or Crispy. Cost $10 should make nicer

Been here with my husband for the fishbowl and it was awesome! Love the food! Very yum! And the staff were friendly. Forgot to ask one particular staff’s name where she kindly took photos of me and my husband, very approachable, smiling and fun to be around! Will definitely come back.

Going for a late lunch, we arrived at 3pm. Enjoyed a couple of Pimms Cup cocktails which were light and tasty.
Our food however was a different story.
1 hour 30 minutes wait time.
Calamari finally arrived, it was floppy and oily and slightly over cooked.
Fish and chips also over cooked, batter was tan coloured and spent too long in the oil
Sliders, the wait person told us they were out of lamb sliders, and then a, minute later they turned up.
Service scored 1.
Food a 2
Drinks a 4.
We asked how long the meals would take after about 1hr and was told they were being cooked right then. Another 20 minutes before they arrived. Very disappointing, we were so hungry. Told the waitress of our annoyance, they took off one of the meals.
Pretty poor result.
Can't recommend the food either.
Total disappointment.

Decent beer selection but poured far too quickly and quite a bit of room left in glass. Staff friendly and nice vibe so still worth a visit but be good if they do what proper bars often do and give you the full measure as beer not a cheap item anywhere

By far one of the best bars I’ve been to purely because the customer service here is exceptional - loved being greeted with a smile, food was super tasty & fresh and the cocktails were divine! Came here on New Years Eve and will definitely be back not to mention the atmosphere here is so nice & the bar itself is super clean, would highly recommend! + great service from Max & Alice. Will be back:)

Walked in last night and all the staff were at the bar talking so took a minute before we got their attention. Then go to pay and leave. Got charged for someone else bill which was pretty much almost $100 more than what we had. Only apology we got was ‘sorry it’s been a long day’ safe to say I definitely don’t recommend and we won’t be coming back

Decent selection of pub style food and well priced. Super cute outdoor eating area. Service was okay. The waitress serving us was lovely. If I was to return it would be to try the amazing looking cocktails and sangria.

We have recently arrived in NZ from Australia to visit family and enjoyed dinner and a couple of drinks at Scarlett Slimms on Friday night. Great food and drinks! We had dinner at a neighbouring restaurant tonight (Saturday) and went to Slimms for drink before heading home since we had such a good experience last night, only to be told we were “intoxicated” and would not be served. Very disappointing and interesting opinion, especially since we saw bar staff drinking with patrons just last night when we were getting dinner and we had only had 1x drink with dinner before attending Slimms. Won’t be returning

Came here with my cousin for the fishbowls & they did not disappoint customer service was great also. Food was yum, although a bit small in portion size (Fish & Chips) but maybe that's just us poly women with big appetites overall, will definitely be back & highly recommend!
