Good selection on the menu. The coffee and hot chocolates were made very well and the food was delicious! Staff were friendly. Highly recommended and will come back again to try the other food items we weren't able to fit in our tummies.

Great spot in Mount Eden, unfortunately for us there was a bit of a seating debacle with one staff saying to sit wherever we want and then another out the back unimpressed that we strolled out there… Nice spot though.

The Garden Shed is a pet-friendly and beautiful place. I would recommend it as a great place to get a drink and a snack. The food is good, slightly more expensive than similar cafes nearby.

A little gem of a restaurant. The ambience especially out back is awesome and quite unique. The service team are friendly and engaging. The food was well cooked and delicious, especially the tapas meals. Can definitely recommend if you want good quality and an affordable price.

The decor is nice but the food is incredibly disappointing.
The seafood paella tasted like like the seafood was off and the staff made almost no effort to apologize or say that dish was on the house.

Good portions. Tad pricey. Wife's vegan and this worked out for both of us. I had the wagyu burger but I prefer bf over this.

We had a wonderful night here recently. All the meals were great, tasty and good sizes. The staff were very attentive and followed all Covid 19 protocols. Our night was made by the fabulous waitress, Naomi. She answered all our questions re meals and wine with honesty and humour and strived to find the answer each time to more difficult wine questions.
A great night at a great venue!

The staff here are awesome and the back garden vibe is amazing. Food and cocktails are also delish!

AVOID AT ALL COST!

I just ordered ribs and coffee on ubereats - the ribs were cold, small portion and tasteless with a terrible salad.

The coffee i paid $6.50 was disquieting

We've loved this place for a long time.
Had our pre Wedding party here, our child's christening party here and many a family celebratory brunch but the food we got on Thursday was round the table awful.
The Spit Roast was tough as old boots pork, poorly roasted potatoes and very undercooked broccoli, the gravy had zero flavour.
Both the rump and fillet steaks were incorrectly cooked, one way over medium rare and one way under medium rare, the 'red wine jus' tasted like like a cheap packet gravy. The mash was horribly soggy.
The paella was better although they had run out of mussels and the fish in it was as tough as the spit roast.
I don't know if the regular kitchen team is on holiday but I'd be embarrassed serving any of that at home let alone asking almost $40 a dish for it.
We told the manager at the till it was a very disappointing meal but only got a "I'll tell the chef's".
I'd stay well clear until they lift their game to where it used to be. Their reputation and lovely ambience won't mask very poor food for long. So, so disappointed.

Great restaurant, the food was divine! No creamy sauce or anything like that, just purely fresh and real ingredients. We loved it!

Always love this place because of the location, design, friendly staff. Went for lunch yesterday with friends but disappointed me a lot.
Ordered a poached egg fish cake, the egg wasn’t even running, so I told the waiter what happened to the egg. They offered to give me another egg, that’s fine, but the size of the egg is SUPER SMALL, feels like it’s smaller than a size 6 egg. My friends ordered the shed burger and they can’t even finish it because the beef is burnt.
Love their iced maple coffee but it is too expensive now ($9.2) so ordered an ice latter instead. Tasted like milk….

In conclusion, this is a very nice place but I don’t think I’m gona come back: (

Great outdoor dining experience. Service was wonderful and really appreciated how pet friendly the restaurant was.

We had our engagement party at the Garden Shed and it couldn't have gone better - the food was INCREDIBLE, drinks were delicious, the space was gorgeous and the wait staff were fantastic. Highly recommend the back courtyard area for any function!

Mixed reviews. We had dinner here last night and as busy parents we needed a relaxed time with delicious food and although my partner read many of the mixed reviews beforehand we decided to see for ourselves.

Positive points: Plants and cosy atmosphere with the attention to decor details, lovely waitresses (in uniform), delicious seafood dishes.

Negative points: 1) A waitress not in the typical uniform (Angela) was very pushy and as soon as we had finished our mains she told us twice to look in the menu for dessert options. And we weren't the only customers being "hurried along" by this woman. It threw us off and we wanted to leave. So we did and went somewhere down the road to finish our night out.
2) The Shed burger was well presented but confusing to eat. It is stacked high and very slim which means you can't hold it let alone bite into it. Very awkward to try to eat. This needs a 'how to eat' tutorial.

Won't be coming back.

Had a company function here January. Staff excellent. Food was awesome. Great atmosphere in the Garden bar where our function was held. Highly recommend.

Staff was friendly and accommodating.

The setting was great. At the back end of the restaurant, where lots of plants and greens were planted in pots. The front of house looks well decorated.

The food was great. The price might be on the higher end as some of the reviews have pointed out.
The Shed Burger was interesting (see picture of burger).

Overall, it was a cool dining experience.
