Really bad service for business commercial waste. Collections are done whenever they want, communication is poor and their attention to detail is shocking when they cannot manage their booking system and drivers. Business owners I do not recommend. Try another company and don't waste your time with waste management.

I've had the pay as u go service for about 3 months. So far its brilliant. They send me reminders which prompts me to cancel if I have no waste. Very cheap collection rates. They collected on the exact correct day. Just make sure you label your bin as their bins don't come with address tags which can be awkward if your neighbor has the same service. I notice the company gets a lot of bad feedback but I suspect the people enjoying the service are too lazy to give feedback which is why I thought I should try.:)

If I can choose 0 star, I would do that.
Their 0800 phone call service it so terrible.
A lady from there just repeat and repeat. Didn’t listen to me, cut off my.
Regarding flexibin, they don’t tell you take 7-14days when you buy it. They will tell you when you book the collection which is a kind of cheating.
Hope they could value their reputation and upgrade their services

Have been attempting to get waste management to pick up bins for well over a month at this point. They own the bins, I have paid for the service but as far as I can tell they just don't care about removing the bins they own from the side of the road.
You are the most useless company I have ever delt with.
If someone at waste management gets this please pick my bins up. I will not call again because the wait times are insane even when you call as the service opens. I don't care that you have had delays or staff shortages - these do not explain the month of constant calls from me resulting in no action from your side. Emails also seem ineffective as you called me the wrong name when you replied, then never replied after the first email.
For anyone else reading this, I would highly recommend waste management if you are looking for a service where your rubbish is allowed to rot on the side of the road, or if you just like the sound of hold music on their customer service help line because they really excel at these two offerings.

Waste Management have given wheelie bin customers only one month's notice that they are discontinuing their service (at least in central Auckland where I am). This is despite having paid for a year in advance. And then to top it off, I just gave up on trying to talk to someone about this situation after 1 hour and 8 minutes on hold. Absolutely atrocious customer service.

Just read the reviews, it says it all.
Never dealt with such poor service in my life. Be a smart consumer and rather support the 100's of small businesses doing the same, faster, better and cheaper.

Waste management truck keeps picking up residential bins well before 7am disturbing and waking us up. It is a RESIDENTIAL area, and this is a breach of council rules! Pointless ringing WM as they don't care or do anything to stop it happening!

Very bad service. Have wkly wheelie bins with this company. Did not gt picked up on mon and when i called about it they said i shouldve called mon which is not possible as i finish 5pm same time as thm. Ladies i spoke to constantly kept trying to find reasons why this was my fault evn to say payment wasnt in on time (48hrs) although they txted less than 12hrs before to say “have your bin out by 7am” was then promised bins would get picked up wed. Then got a txt saying thurs then fri then when we can - which in other words means mon a whole week aftr. Bad service, unrealistic timelines and lies. Leaving after my money is used in acc! Worse bin company.

About services in Auckland. Ordered 3m3 skip bin, described all specifics of the driveway (narrow, neighbour's roof bloks access for large tracks, need for an experienced driver and etc). Initially was hoping it all will be fine, as someone contacted me and even asked to send them a photo of the driveway. But it all turned nasty. No skip bin was delivered on the due date, as despite of all information provided their "experienced driver" came on the large track. Had a very intense discussion with their operator, who tried to push the responsibility to me as I didn't "explicitly" (so to speak) specify that "smaller track was needed". Requested chat with manager. No one came back to me.
Had to reschedule works and requested explicitly (this time) to send a smaller track. Was promised that everything will be fine and smaller track will come.
Now. No skip bin again. And apparently they (after a week wasted) say that they cannot deliver the skip bin to my address at all. Come on! It is not a most difficult driveway, and I have once and again large orders delivered by large tracks, whose drivers are indeed experienced. It is averagely difficult driveway, not uber-difficult.
So, guys. This company needs to be re-named to "Time & Money Waster" as they waste your time with false promises and also you will spend about 30 mins on the line waiting for operator to pick up your call. Requested refund and ordered bin from another company. NEVER waste your time on them. NEVER. They will fail you with no doubts.

PS#1: In addition to the person, who replied to this review (I couldn't find a way to respond to the reply, so, doing it here). I specified an "ideal" place to put bin, but I was open to discussion. No one even tried to discuss anything. I was just left in limbo with no information or options.

PS #2: Quick update on how the other company did (to compare) : they were quick to get in touch with (I spent less than 5 mins on the line for call to be picked up), brought a skip bin on the very next day (as I begged them for help asap and they did everything possible and impossible to address my problems), my garden works were done in 3 days, and then they've easily removed the bin from the site. No issues at all, no hassle. So, guys. You see for yourself how "complicated" this job was.

No longer a business I want to be a customer of! They don’t seem to care about customer service you can’t call them now no phone contact then they don’t respond to emails!

feed up and changing provider due to non collection of bin multiple times despite promises it would be emptied! Trying to now get someone to respond to my emails to confirm refund since prior to Christmas impossible! What a shambles no care and soon no customers I would imagine as you can’t run a business like this!

Probably the worst service you could possibly come across. Missed collection last week and now today. Highly do not recommend. Communication is very poor. Still waiting to hear from someone as we do not know what is going on.

Sorry WM, you asked for a review.maybe you should not have. Terrible service. Good initial follow up, then do not follow up with promises. I appreciate we are dealing with the after effects of Covid (however, now May 2022), however a promise to follow up - should be completed.
I see the notes below, It is now Mid Jan (7 months later), and after more follow ups from myself, my bin was finally collected.oooh, and no, that person you asked to follow up, did not follow up.ties in with the first comments doesn't it. (nothing happens). Shocking company to deal with. I now have another agent here in Napier that arrives when they say they will.

They raised their price from $93 to $226 in a single year. Naturally I terminated the contract. I still have their wheelie bin after nearly 3 months of asking them to retrieve it. They do not answer phone calls and used to take weeks to answer emails. Now they don't bother to answer emails either. I sincerely regret giving even one star, as it is far more than they deserve.

DO NOT RECCOMMEND! I have been severely frustrated trying to get any sort of update from waste management. During my time with them my bins were regularly collected late, their website is not user friendly and makes it difficult to see any info you need and they lack in communication like no other service I've paid for before. I cancelled my service 28th October due to moving countries and was told I could not book an extra service due to my account being cancelled and my last payment would cover my bin being emptied and removed before I left (which didn't happen and I had to leave the bin at my vacant property), I then had a payment on the 30th October with a monthly charge - odd as I was told my account was closed and I could no longer be charged due to this. Have queried wthis with WM multiple times via phone - 30th October, 7th November and 23rd November (this time I was hung up on and had to call back), also via email on the 5th, 7th and 16th of November and empty promises of repayment have been made. I still have not received my money back. DO NOT USE WM! Save your money and use another company that might actually value their customers and provide a decent service for what you're paying them for!

This is my last resort in attempting to communicate with Waste Management. I made online contact 10 days ago re a bin not being picked up, reference 04681411. I have still not had a reply to this. Resorted to calling your 0800 number this morning, as I type this I have been on hold for 56 minutes. Does Waste Management still operate in NZ? Does it understand the word Service?

Booked in and paid for a skip online and arranged to have help loading it then on the afternoon of the day it was supposed to arrive (after multiple phone calls trying to get information) they advised that they don't service my area. I would definitely recommend trying an alternative skip hire company before this one, even if it cost a few dollars more.

We have canceled our bin over a month ago. Have rung 5 times to get bin collected. Instead of picking it up they dropped another off. Not very happy with there service. Each person we spoke to said they would sort it. Still no result

I have been calling, emailing and using the Facebook messenger option to get my bin services cancelled/suspended. Its been almost 3 weeks so far. No email or call back

DO NOT RECOMMEND! FOUR weeks our garden bin has been sitting kerb side. I get delays happen but this is something else. We're sick of it and I'm sure our neighbors are too. At this stage we'll be lucky if it's emptied - which is crazy because this is a service we pay for! What use is the updates page if it doesn't tell us when we can expect our collection. The least you could do is give us a date so we can bring the eyesore of a bin back in until it's due for its well overdue emptying.

Edit- bin was finally emptied 7/11 (not our recuring collection date). Original date was 7/10.13/10 text update saying they are unable to empty but to leave bin out. 21/10 email to say there are delays and to check updates page and leave bin out. There was two other bins in our proximity that sat out uncollected so this is not isolated to us/we missed our collection. I stand by my review, definitely need to improve on the comms to customers.
