Not great service at all. Phoned to get an additional bin collection for the month and was told it wasn't possible as they were already running behind on their garden refuse collections. Elected to get a call back when I phoned and that took more than two hours before they called me back.

Waste Management have been nothing but a headache for us! We have both a weekly rubbish bin (household) and a monthly garden bin with WM. Our garden bin has been on the berm for 1 1/2 weeks and has not been emptied. I emailed the day after the service was missed (8 days ago) and still have no response. Our weekly rubbish bin was also missed yesterday along with the other bins on our street.

Their billing system is confusing and very unclear with what you are paying for, their customer service is severely lacking. And there is NO communication from the company. What I could understand is if there was shortages within the company which meant pick ups would be delayed, some notice to inform us. I have now had to pay extra money to buy rubbish bags to remove the rubbish and garden waste which is now back logged due to the missed collections. All on top of this as well as the hefty price increase for our services months prior. NOT acceptable service.

DO NOT RECOMMEND - will be looking elsewhere for our services.

My full Garden bin has sat on the berm for nearly 2 weeks, 1 hour and 10 min wait to talk to someone who said it would be collected the same day, that was a week ago. 2 Emails now both unanswered and the whole street has not been collected. Very unsatisfactory performance.

Visited the Hamilton Waste Management website as have two old lounge suites, two Queen bed mattresses, and other broken and irrepairable furniture, and, I needed to find out where I could dump / dispose of them. Similarly have an old microwave and dishwasher and tumble dryer. Not a WORD written about how to do this at the Hamilton Waste Management website - Lincoln Road - compared to Te Awamutu's Waste Management website that gives a clear list of what you can and cannot dump / dispose of. So I send a message off to Hamilton Waste Management through their website and got back a pathetic and useless response.telling me exactly what I had already read at their website and NOT answering my specific and detailed questions ditto above. No wonder we see lounge suites, old fridges, etc.etc.etc.littering pavements in and around Hamilton city. Just drive into any suburb and boom, there you have the problem right in your face. Why is this happening when the Hamilton City Council and Labour Government are chiming about the environment, etc. Unsightly to see old furniture and applies, plus other rubbish, piling up on pavements when the Hamilton Waste Management could simply put more effort into typing up a - once off cost by the way - detailed list of what one can and cannot dump / dispose of at Lincoln Street. And, I do know about the recycling centre but this area is way, way too small for large furniture and appliances, while items that are irrepairable and beyond salvaging even for spare parts have seemingly no "rest home" in Hamilton city.

We have Deen using flexibin service for several years now it's a wonderful way.to.clear our garden waist with no worry.allowing us to fill the bin in our own time.

Sorry WM, you asked for a review.maybe you should not have. Terrible service. Good initial follow up, then do not follow up with promises. I appreciate we are dealing with the after effects of Covid (however, now May 2022), however a promise to follow up - should be completed.

Waste management garden bins are a MUST HAVE! If you're a keen gardener then most things are compostable - but there are a few branches and weeds which are defo NOT! WM bins are taken regularly and if your bin collection happens on a public holidays they still DO pick up your waste! Great service, great communication and fair price.

I have subscribed for weekly wheelie bin collection. I used to be with Gordies for 20 years until they decided to sell business to WasteManagement. I only have issues with their customer service. There response time on phone is never less than 35-50 minutes amd despite of that wait finding a satisfactory response is unusual.very frustrating.

Disgusting WM. I have 2 x 240L bins paid up for the next year. The driver has gone straight past our bins for the last approx 6 weeks. I had to put all the rubbish in my car EACH week and take it to the local tip and pay for that. I am unable to do that this week as we are sick. I stopped the driver, begged him to take the two full bins and he refused saying they are not on his screen and that he had "done me a favour" by collecting before! I showed him my recent payments of $558 to waste management and he drove off. I have tried calling but they never answer. I have emailed but they never reply. There are still two full 240L bins at my gate and if they are not collected by Thursday, I promise WM that I am dumping them at your head office. I want the service cancelled and the full $558 refunded plus compensation for all the trips to the tip I have had to make. DO NOT STRESS YOURSELF WITH BEING THEIR CLIENT.its total rubbish. I have sent several emails, if WM wants to respond they will find my request for a refund there.

Had garden bin service with them. Never collect on time. Double charged almost everytime. Cancelled my service 3 months ago and still waiting for credits to be refunded. No one answers phone, email or Facebook messages. If I do not hear back by 28th Feb I will take this matter to the Disputes Tribunal.

Horrible flexi bin service. Normal service is 5 working days. Got told it’ll be 10 working days due to delays. No communication after almost 3 weeks. Called up again and got told it’ll take a further 3 working days.

I don’t understand how they are operating a business like this.

I have same problem here that I have never had my garden waste collected on the date scheduled. I sent remind email but it won't work it out. All our area collected but ours never do it on time. I put on kerbside a day before schedule date but It always ignored. If it is not collecting on time what is the point that make and send collecting time schedule to customer? It is very annoying make reschedule. I really don't want to pay money until collected it on time. They wasted my time now.

Worse company I've ever dealt with TIME WASTE MANAGEMENT would be more suitable for them. Sorting out an unreasonable overcharge took 1,5 years till the case got to a worker who actually cared. They hang up on you, don't get back to you and often are unfriendly on the phone. They don't know who is doing what always forward you to the wrong people no one is taking responsibilities. Certainly will be looking for alternatives for our organisation.

Moved property recently. Tried to contact them, they told me just bring the bin with me and told me the new collection day. Put my bin out at the new place, was never collected. Left the bin out there all week and wasn't collected. Contacted them again and they told me a different collection day. Left the bin out for another week and it was never collected. Turns out they had never updated my address in the account. They did that, next week the bin still wasn't collected. Tried cancelling my account a month ago but they are still charging me and have not refunded me yet. Absolute shambles. Have switched to Rubbish Direct who are great!

Didn't pick our bin pick up, called and spoke to 4 people in the call centre who all said their manager would call us back. Still no call. Only solution they gave was another pick up one day before our next pick up. What are we supposed to do with all our rubbish until then?

I do not like to write negative feedback on businesses since I am a business owner. Our rubbish bins have not been collected in the last 2.5 weeks. The reason for that because our invoice has not been paid which is due on 24/04/2021, however, our contract last day is on 22/04/2021. They acknowledged that 4 times and keep on telling me the rubbish will be collected the next day but nothing happens.

Last Friday, I called multiple times to solve this problem. They said we will send a truck on Wednesday, I said I will be having about 10 big rubbish bags plus 4 big bins by that time. They said we will only collect the bins and credit your account!

Not to mention the wait on the phone, every time I had to wait for about 45 minutes. I called the head-office and lady called Laila was extremely rude, instead of trying absorb my frustration, she told me; do you want me to transfer you to the customer service to wait for another 45 minutes! At the end they told me the manager will be calling me on the same day and as usual no one calls.

I never experienced this unprofessional, unreliable and worst customer service with any company before. I am searching for another company now.

As business owner, I feel very sorry for the owners of waste management. There are a lot of work needs to be done inside the organization and with their employee.
