Getaway Te Anau

Backpacking since more that 1 year, I always honestly ask to pay to access the shower. This time, I had a no because “they are too busy”. I decided to check by myself and none of the showers were occupied… Of course I left it as I found it, and I left a $5 bill on the bench in the hand of destiny. The caravan park looked very friendly and clean and nice hot showers, they are just bad at business.

I visited using a campervan.
Camper van parking and free hot shower. Barbecue and restaurant are available.
There is a washer and dryer in the paid laundry room.

Disgusting! Male toilets had fecal matter spread all over the front of the seats and floor
footprints of fecal matter all throughout shower/toilet block

Maybe some educative signs to help fight certain cultural hygiene differences may help
Couldn’t find a way to contact them to clean it after office hours

Location is good though

Love this place. Clean cabins, knowledgeable staff of what to do in the area. And a spectacular location I'm bringing my family from Australia for a family holiday treat. I'm not sure of other places in the area. But this place is a definite must for family friendly fun.

This place is good place for campervan. A lot of facilities with hot shower and great kitchen space. The location is also strategic.

Friendly front desk, great modern toilets for those cabins (one of the best for our South Island trip), clean and no complaints.

We have stayed here twice now, and will continue to stay here when we visit Te Anau. The cabin we stayed in was modern and clean. The staff are friendly. The best part of the accommodation is the hot tubs. Nothing better than sitting in a hot tub on a chilly evening, enjoying a beer, and looking at the lake and mountains. Bliss:)

The perfect spot before and after Kepler and other local tramps and walks. They were happy to store a bag for us which made things easier. Didn’t use the hot tub as it was too expensive for the whole family.

Love this place! Fantastic location near Lake Te Anau. Friendly helpful staff. Quiet surroundings. Strong stable wifi. Best internet connection I had so far out of the few holiday parks I have stayed in. Quiet safe crowd staying there. Highly recommended!

Top location- we had the three bedroom motel unit, which was perfect, modern, and clean. Cannot judge the smaller units, though. Friendly staff.

This property is neglected nice location but badly in need of cleaning. Felt sorry for international visitors finding this place so dirty this is not who we are

Good location very poor levels of cleanliness. All toilets were very dirty and dishes area/ basins all dirty. Sauna is tiny and only fits two people. All pools were broken. Wouldn’t recommend using the oven unless desperate as not very clean. TV doesn’t work. Staff may be new to the area.

Brilliant! A beautiful holiday park 5 mins walk from town centre. Has wonderful gardens, privacy, great shared kitchen and bathrooms with hair dryer even, laundry, complimentary sauna (book a slot) and cheap hot tubs (book,). Staff are so friendly and helpful as well. You can leave valuables in reception if you're going on a track, and you can park your car by the lake for free. We also got a parcel delivered to reception which was a great help.

We parked our camper van up in a lot that was private from our neighbors, with bbq table and close to amenities. Nice modern clean kitchen, showers, and toilets. Good plying areas for children and pet friendly on a leash. Close to town and i centre with a 10 minute walk. Lake just across the road. Nice quiet family camping grounds.

Stay here a lot. Walking distance from town and parks. Is opposite the lake. Children love it too and the rooms are always so clean.

Stayed in the Matai Lodge (part of the Holiday Park) - essentially a very nice motel - rooms newly furbished, have all the equipment one could want (perhaps a desk would be nice to have). Complimentary hot drinks are also a very nice touch.
The place has hot tubs, which were unfortunately not in service at the time of our visit.
Located centrally very close to the main street.

A beautiful place you want to be. I came for a week and still here. The grounds and facilities are 5 star and that is reflected from the amazing manager and the very proud all women staff who are all very proud of their work.
Very close to town and a stroll across the road to the lake.
The owners should be very proud of their team at tasman holiday park Te Anau. Best yet

Stayed two nights in a camper van. Great location, clean and tidy facilities and everything you need. By the lake, close to town and attractive grounds. Would come again
