Getaway Te Anau

This was an incredible place to stay! Such modern facilities, friendly staff and such a clean well maintained campground. Very affordable prices for the quality of this holiday park. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and particularly on our last morning we appreciated that they allowed us to use facilities after check out to make breakfast (on request at reception). Thanks heaps:) fantastic place to stay.

Great spot for a cheap price. Was clean, tidy and has everything you need (including hot showers) which is great to have on those cold winter days.

Really nice park to stay! We had an excellent price for a wonderful room! We stayed more then two weeks here! The sauna and hotpool are great!

Absolutely fabulous campground! Awesome modern and clean facilities. Spa/sauna, children's playground and games room plus more. Lake across the road and a 5 min walk to town. One of the best we have stayed at. Highly recommended.

The Getaway is pretty much my favorite (camp) -site in New Zealand. Friendly staff, plenty of space to park the caravan, affordable prices. Not to forget the sauna - the first actual finish sauna that I found in New Zealand. Thanks for the great stay there team!

Super cheap camper van camping spots, great facilities. Free access to hot showers, stoves, BBQs and TV lounge. Well worth the money.

Super clean campsite with an excellent location. We had two campervans and were able to park next to each other. Bonus water hose for each site. Jumping pillow for the kids, hire bikes and private spa pools. Can not fault at all.

Just a great place with well appointed and very clean facilities. Many small things are included like hot showers, bbq use and kitchen gear like tea towels and washing up liquid.close to the park and lake. Kids had a great time on the inflatable cushion while the adults enjoyed a quiet drink.

Staying. No refund for mucking up and putting money in dryer instead of washing machine even though I was going to use 3 of the appliances. Then a mate didn't get camper saver for 3 booked nights. Not customer service guys. Lovely clean park. But customer service means alot. WELL DONE GUYS ALL SORTED. BEAUTIFUL LADY SAW ME 10MINSCAFTER PIST. THE BEST RESPINSE EVER. WELL DONE GUYS. This would be a 5 star review except the wifi let the place down. We found that wifi would connect but internet would intermittently drop out. On the up side I would recommend the spa.

Love this place even though the weather is not good at the moment said to be better tomorrow which will give it another star.

Stayed here in a camper van. The staff were very helpful, we checked in after dark at the last minute. There are great communal facilities. There was even a hair dryer for my wife!

This is an absolutely wonderful, affordable, perfectly located camping ground to stay at while in Te Anau.

I have no hesitation whatsoever in highly recommending this holiday park by the lake.

We wanted to stay at the top 10 in te anau as we hear great things. We went there and it was bad and found out that they changed their name.the old top10 in te anau is now called getaway te anau and it is amazing just like we hear.stay here!

Best stop on NZ trip. We left a different holiday park as it was not good. This place used to be the top ten here in te anau i think. It is now getaway.the new top ten is not good

Stayed in a self contained studio and really liked it. Comfy bed. The wet floor shower is exactly that, lots of pressure and water everywhere. So mind where you put the towels.

Clean and comfortable; staff very helpful. Nice location, easy walk into town. Would come back again - hopefully try a hot pool next time [as they were all booked]
