Te Anau Top 10 Holiday Park reviews
60Very nice holiday park! Stayed here for 3 nights. So many amenities, like a spacious kitchen, dining room, laundry, and clean bathrooms. There is a wide variety of accommodation options like cabins and parking spots for RVs. Also very close to local restaurants and the lakes.
I want to come back. The facilities and service were awesome. The camp site is clean and exciting. Can't wait to come back
This place will always be my "go to" location for a holiday stop in Te Anau.
We have a big caravan and these guys have always been able to accomodate us, often swapping sites around to ensure we fit. I can't speak highly enough of the staff, who always do their best to help you out.
The powered sites are excellent with plenty of space, picnic tables and many with concrete slabs to set up your van on. The grounds are always tidy and presented well. There would have been considerable effort involved in maintaining them and it shows.
The facilities are great. Plenty of clean toilets and shower cubicles. I never waited for a shower in the morning. Showers are not limited in time and no additional payment is required to make them work.
Wifi is good in the main block but only ok around the grounds. It kinda came and went where we were, but hey it's a holiday right?
Overall I love the place. Great facilities for kids with peddle cars and bouncy cushion etc. Plenty of facilities for any kind of traveller, from backpacker to family on a tenting holiday.
Best of all it is well located. Close to the main street for meals and pubs.
Brilliant.
Well done team.
Small tent sites. Close to road. Toilets and showers good. Kitchen is nice with most equipment. Close to village with all there: restaurant, supermarket, nice shops, bakery. Good and friendly personell.
The site is well located. However the site owner Brat was very unfriendly and discriminated us as foreigners, after we questioned the prepayment for the extension of our stay. He even refused an extension after we accepted the prepayment. I have never before experienced such a behaviour and attitude in New Zealand. The lady at the reception is very friendly but sold us incl. Top10 discount 20% overpriced Milford Sound boat trip tickets.
I would recommend the other options in Te Anau, which are cheaper and customer oriented.
We stayed in the cabins, really comfy beds with nice sheets. The facilities were good in the communal kitchen, bathrooms, laundry and the spa was a great thing to book after a day on the bikes. The knives were too blunt in the kitchen so would recommend bringing your own or a sharpener. Would stay here again.
Great site. Beautiful facilities and friendly helpful staff. Definitely recommend this camp site
We had an amazing experience at this Top 10 location. We were unfortunately unable to check-in for the night we had made our reservation for…. Because our campervan was stuck in a mud hole in a deserted gravel road in Te Anau downs for 17 hours…. We went to the Top 10 the next morning after the towing helped us out to ask if we could still use the facilities and carwash even if it was past 10 AM. I was really emotional because of the horrible night we had with several towings refusing to come help us out, the horrible phone charges on my canadian phone just to reach some assistance… The lovely lady at the reception offered us to stay for the upcoming night and just change our initial reservation date, came to see us while we were washing the van that was unfortunately muddy inside and out and bring us a bucket with hot water and soap and multiple rags… She also offered us a spa session free of charge on top of it… I am really moved by the empathy toward us during our stay, it gave us the opportunity to make a fresh start to our trip and calm ourselves a bit). As for the facilities, I absolutely loved the kitchen area, it was probably the most cosy and user-friendly we had, there is enough space for everyone and there is a certain chalet vibe to it! Thanks again for everything, you guys are amazing)
Stayed at the dorm and it was amazing.
The room is spacious, beds comfy (and without the usual creeking when you move that you get in other hostels), and there is a heater in the room as well. Everything is clean (sheets, room, communal areas, bathrooms). And staff is very nice.
Loved the kitchen and lounge space - as mentioned before it gives off a chalet vibe and is spacious and clean.
You need your own equipment for cooking (kitchen has stoves, ovens, microwave, toasters, hot water machine, fridge and freezer), or you can borrow a cooking set for 2 for 5$ (haven't tried that, so can't say what you get).
Reception is open till 9pm, which is very convenient should you come later.
Central location great mountain views. Excellent reception staff. Short walk to town. Warm lounge with Sky TV. Unlimited WiFi for top 10 members. (plus discount on the price.)
Would have been 5* but expensive. 4* a 5 minute walk to the town for restaurants and supermarkets
Great spot with interconnecting room, perfect if you have a young family of 5+. Walk into town & perfect place to explore Milford from. Whole town is super friendly.
Best place so far, the views are amazing and the premises is so clean, only down sidenisnyou either have to hire kitchen equipment to use or bring your own.
Well presented & maintained campground, but many sites are too small for most modern caravan & car combinations
Great camp site and great facilities 2nd time I've stayed here. Close to every thing that you need in the town
Lovely holiday park! The staff are all super friendly. It’s very clean and generally has a really homely atmosphere (including Ollie the cat ). Really enjoyed our stay here and would happily come back
Stayed on 14/12 in our van, we loved it here! Clean and well maintained facilities, all 24/7. The staff were friendly and helpful. The bathroom and kitchen were so clean and had everything in stock you could possibly need. Common area had a real cozy vibe to it. Just watch out for Ollie the cat, you'll 100% get attached to him.
Can't wait to stay again in the future:)
Excellent facilities very clean and tidy camping ground. Bathroom facilities very good hot&cold water pressure for a shower excellent. Wheelchair shower&toilet. Huge kitchen and backpackers accommodation. Power sites and Tent sites. We will stay again.
Excellent accommodation for families in Te Anau. Walk to the Town Centre for all your shopping and dining needs. We stayed in an Ensuite Unit and it was clean and tidy. You can hire a Cooking pack to use the kitchen facilities for a small fee. Laundry powder is $2 per pack or bring your own. The only downside is the wooden walkway outside the units. It is noisy when people walk or rather run past your door at night. Good WiFi!
Best accomodation in Te Anau! I stay here regularly in both the backpackers dorm room and my camper. The facilities are brilliant, the staff are very friendly and the location is very handy. Highly recommend it.
