Colenso Country Cafe & Country Shop

I had the Salmon Gravlax Gluten free and the salad was so fresh and the beetroot was delicious. Coffee was great to. Lovely organic food ️

Asked for a large Coffee and if that was large then other cafes must be using giant cups. Hadn't been in years and thought that it had improved with new owners... Sorry but won't be back.

Beautiful orchard setting, great service, very peaceful. Recommend the bacon and egg pie, the Belgian hot chocolate, everything we ordered was good. Don't miss it

Coffee was excellent, Spanish eggs soooo good, and the Belgian hot chocolate, my wife rated the Spinach and Feta. A lovely find, a little chilly in winter so rug up

A truly beautiful spot. Great food, coffee and service. Fantastic chutneys, pickles, jams, glass ware and crafts on sale too. The grounds are a delight. Don't stop at Tairua, cross your legs and hold on for Colenso. Worth the stop.

Colenso cafe is a lovely spot to go for lunch on a fine afternoon. Beautiful gardens and orchard where you can while away the time in a relaxed environment. The food options are a little different than the usual fair but excellent none the less. Service is excellent and staff are friendly and helpful. We worth stopping here on your travel around the Coromandel.

Pleasant outdoor seating under beautiful fruit trees, plenty of parking, and staff are lovely! Gets very busy over the summer season and so be prepared to wait a bit. Not the biggest menu, but cabinet food is delish! Coffee is fairly average, but is a good spot to stop en route to your next destination.

Exceptional! Beautiful gardens, they are so peaceful. There is a shop with gifts too and a small playground.
Wonderful food. The turkish lentil soup is divine. The freshly baked sourdough bread they sell is so tasty! A must visit.

I have called into this gorgeous cafe everytime I travel to the Coromandel. Coffee always perfect, cabinet selection is always changing and it's hard to choose as it all looks so good. Indoor and outdoor seating, playground for the littles and a beautiful garden to wander through.

Sitting out in the beautiful garden as we ate amazing homemade dishes with flavour galore, was an 5 star experience.

Lovely settiing in beautiful herb garden and citrus Grove. Yummy pork and fennel sausage rolls and amazing boysenberry pavlova. Everyone really enjoyed their food. Have been coming to Calenso year after year after year.

Service is fantastic and garden is beautiful and pleasant to have a relaxing experience while you have your breakfast, snack, lunch or tea.
. And do some shopping of the nice things they sell at the shop too.

Been to Colenso Cafe and Garden a couple of times. It’s a lovely tranquil space just off SH 25. Plenty of space for the kids to take a break from the long journey. Lovely green Lawson and trees. Food and drinks are also great. Can’t wait to take another break next week!

Great stop for a quick coffee or lunch. Beautiful gardens setting. Friendly owners & staff. Young children will love the donkeys!

We just love this quiet relaxed cafe on a citrus orchard. Amazing home cooking and great coffee.
