Colenso Country Cafe & Country Shop

Lovely country garden cafe, serves great atomic coffee. Didn’t try the cabinet food but everything looked amazing with a great selection of frittatas, cakes, scones, pies etc.plenty of vegetarian options as well. Will definitely be stopping by next time I’m on the Coromandel.

A pleasant orchard environment to eat outside. Usual cafė food and the coffee was ok. I wouldn't rush back but would give it a second go.

This place is stunning! Food is exceptional, even here often and it always consistent nothing more needs to be said.

We loved our random visit to this cafe on our way on Sunday afternoon. We were the last customers yet served well and asked to take our time even though the rain came down. The set up was great, outside and inside, we chose the back garden, it was lush and colourful. We ordered smoked fish pie, bacon and egg sandwich, garden salad, silverbeet tart, mushroom tart but the feijoa and coconut cake with poached fiejoas and cream topped the list. Everything was so good, Dixie the dog and the 2 donkeys were the highlight. Their shop had some great products as well.

Country Charme in cosy atmosphere with delicious food and drinks not to forget the beautiful retail part for interior of all kinds.
A slightly bigger variety in the food cabinet would be appreciated.

Nice selection of home cooked foods plus quirky gift shop in pleasant garden surroundings. Road side parking is narrow and dangerous on side of busy road. Recommend using off road carpark in the grounds.
