66Love the starters and curries. My favourite that I have to order every time is Paneer Pakora. If you are meat lovers, should try tandoori platter which comes with lamb and chicken. The best one I have ever tasted so far. They serve alcohol, cocktails etc. Limited parking space however.
Had a lovely meal tonight at this hidden gem. The curry was excellent (they even had a vegan menu), the staff were friendly and the historic homestead location was really interesting. Not your average Indian restaurant, we will be back!
One of the best Indian Restaurants in Porirua. Tasty food with excellent customer service makes the whole experience a worth while. Keep it up.
Stopped by for a dinner meal and was surprised by the place. Service was good and food had some great flavours. We had the goat curry and lamb tikka masala.
Lovely VEGAN menu with so many yummy dishes to choose from. Pleasantly surprised and have been back many times. Very worth a visit.
Thank you.
Wanted a change, butter chicken was all sipice but no taste. Very different to what im used to. Service was fast though.
Really enjoyed the meal. Friendly service and excellent atmosphere.
Very generous with the portion.
This was my first ever visit but really enjoyed.
Lovely atmosphere, food was a bit of a let down for me unfortunately. Cant remember the name of our starters but was a prawn dish, very yummy!
Mango chicken tasted like apricot chicken really. Naan bread was ok. The papadams, all I could taste was that burnt taste. Maybe I will stick with the butterchicken next time lol great customer service tho
Very disappointing. I am not sure if there has been a change of chef or owners but it was very disappointing. Our garlic Naan was doughy with blobs of flour and the garlic on it was burnt and bitter. Our paneer dish probably only had about 7 very small pieces of paneer. I wish I took a photo to show you but by the time we realised those 7 tiny pieces were gone and we were left with a full container of the base sauce. They aren't cheap so you feel really robbed when you pay for something and the quality and care is so poor. Especially after we were debating whether to get take away or not.
Their Butter Chicken literally tastes like sour cream. It lacks flavor, lack of salt or sugar. Would avoid this dish. Also for the price, the amount of meat is average.
Great customer service but now feel somewhat taste is not as before. Disappointed with the food.
We went for a family birthday celebration and were pleasantly surprised with the tasty food and smiling service.
Best dinner I had today really appreciate chefs for food and manager and staff for service highly recommended. Thanks alot
We popped into the restaurant after visiting a friend of ours down in Wellington. Very good service. And very nice decor for such an old house, over 100 years old.
Very nice food, service and friendly staff, a wonderful experience, top quality all over, thanks for your great quality.
Extremely overpriced…
CBD prices for pretty average food and you’ll be waiting forever.
Almost an hour with just one other group in the restaurant.
They also have about 3 car parks otherwise your walking up the long drive.
Really delicious curries and good service, have always found the food quality to be consistently good. Venue is great too!
We had a really lovely evening here tonight. The food was delicious, the staff are efficient and friendly and the venue is beautiful. Thank you Jugnu's
This place is very inconsistent, had a couple of amazing lamb biryanis long back.gave us food poisoning not too long ago and now after the jugnus takeover, very average taste
If I could put Zero I would! I ordered the mix platter for 27$ and what a disappointment it was, chicken and lamb chops was dry as hell and looked like they had no more tandorri chicken so they slapped some paste or whatever it was on it quickly, the lamb chops same dry and tasteless I couldn't chew it and had to spit it out and I dont think its suppose to be lamb chop but land kebabs, the 2 samosas tiny and looked definitely frozen and the onion baji same tasteless and dry I tried to let the manager know about it and they said they cant do anything about it and this is how it is period, I'm gonna try to put photos on there but I'll never go back there again, in comparison chili masala in lower hutt is cheaper for the mix platter and its massive and very very tastefull, so yeah do not go there you will be very very disappointed
