Never go to this place because they have the worst doctors and receptionists in the country.

5 stars to the receptionist who was very kind and helpful apart from waiting two and a half hours to be told in a cheeky/laughable tone to go buy Nurofen from the supermarket as the chemist were closed. Dr also offered in a very cheeky and laughable tone again that he can write a script but it would be waste of time.
More attitude was shown by him rather help or treatment - keep your attitude in your pocket mate.

Can’t tell if this is a medical place or a movie set. There are hardly any signs that are COVID and the staff are incredibly rude. I could lose a leg and I’d still be waiting 3 hours.

Had really good experience with doctors, nurses and awesome reception team in the past all the time.but this Saturday 5/8 the old lady at the reception with glasses and no name tag was very RUDE _Your job is to deal with people if you don’t like people and can’t treat them with respect and kindness may be this job isn’t for you. Please keep your attitude in your pocket and treat people the way you want to be treated. ……. No one goes to hospitals or medical facilities for fun, doesn’t cost anything to smile or be nice … sorry for the people around you and learn something from other reception staff around you.

So useless went there for something extremely simple that they could of helped me with but they couldn’t help me at all as I wasn’t registered there so hopeless doesn’t even deserve 1 star

Have just got home. They would not accept my mask exemption so in turn they have denied my 10 year old daughter medical care for a possible broken wrist. Even threatened to call security after trying to discuss my mask exemption.

After calling two urgent cares in Palmerston North after being turned away, They advised that they do accept mask exemptions and it is actually illegal to deny medical treatment for not wearing a mask. They were fairly shocked with this behaviour.

I am going to speak with someone next week to see if your policies are even legal as it feels very wrong indeed.

Went in there this morning at approximately 9am to get our 14 month old looked at. Upon arrival the receptionists didn’t even greet us but demanded us to wear a mask so lack of people skills was already showing.

When we got to the desk, we informed them that our child hasn’t been able to hold down solid food and milk for the past 5 days. Immediately she asks my wife to take our daughter out of the waiting room and to go wait in the car due to our daughter displaying “a covid symptom” even though at the time she was very talkative and not displaying any symptoms.

The receptionist then then insisted that my wife fill out the form due to her potentially knowing more details than I would (which is actually the opposite). After that nasty encounter, we decided to just cancel the appointment and wait until we see our GP in the morning (and made to feel guilty as we were canceling it as well). I work in customer service and honestly, this place is severely lacking.

Would rather go to Adelaide Road A&E or Wellington Hospital.

Staggering incompetence, made worse by the disrespectful attitude of reception staff and by trying to blame their own failures on anyone they could think of. I went in for urgent prescriptions, a mistake was made (this itself was fine, mistakes happen) and I later realised I was given half the correct amount of one medication, when I raised this with team medical they tried blaming the chemist, when I got a copy of the original prescription, they still said the chemist should have noticed the mistake and had it corrected (not their job). Eventually they agreed to leave a prescription for me to pick up from reception, for the remainder of my medication. When I arrived the prescription could not be found and reception staff could find no record of the problem, I was made to wait until someone else came and told me I had already picked it up, I hadn't, but I seemed to be being accused of deceit. After having to defend myself I was told to come back later, I did so and was told to wait, I soon asked what I was actually waiting for as I was just supposed to be picking up my prescription, the receptionist responded with a rant about how "we have policies and procedures to follow at team medical. " Unfortunately those policies and procedures seem more suited to a circus.

Rude and disorganized. The staff don't seem to understand that their clients are patients who need to be cared for, not annoying inconveniences who need to be got rid of. I would recommend going to porirua instead, I certainly will next time.

The patient care service is by far the worse service we have ever had. It is not even measurable with a third world country. Whoever heads up this circus should know that your reception is crucial to the patient care process and that patient care and safety should be priority 1. My 2 year old had a fever peaking at 40C and shaking (we gave him the max allowable dosage of medication so needed advise), only to be told that my wife and son needed to wait in the car and a Dr will come see them. Gets a call 8min after telling her a dr will see them, then to be told by the same receptionist that the Dr wont be able to see my son and they are closing and that they would need to go to Kenepuru who as in the past 3 occasions to were again then sent to Wellington. Wellington is not around the corner. I can live with the fact that if we need specialist care we will go to wellington but surely at least have a dr look at my son and put us at ease with service. The rude receptionist is what really takes the cake. Over committing under delivering and sheer lack of empathy is shocking. There is no moral commitment to helping people and preserving life that eminates from this place. My advice, if you have an emergency or need medical help, this is not where you will find any of that. Unfortunately had to pick a star, but hardly deserves that.

We had an extremely bad experience this morning after my partner attempted (unsuccessfully) to get some help at Team Medical in Paraparaumu. I understand the health system is under pressure at the moment and I have great respect for our medical professionals but there was no excuse for the complete lack of common sense on display at reception. There are certainly some potentially dangerous flaws with the outpatient acceptance and booking systems at Team Medical.

I felt tricked today and Team Medical have completely lost all my trust I had in them. I went to see Team Medical for a medical certificate. The nurse said she could do it for me before no charge because I didn't have to see the doctor but when I went in today the same nurse that did me my medical certificate before said I had to see the doctor. I was confused and gave her the reason but she was adamant I had to see the doctor, I saw the doctor and said the exact same thing i said to the nurse, I thought the doctor was going to ask me more questions as to why the nurse sent me to the doctor but she didn't, she gave me my med cert and I left within 5mins of arriving into Team Medical. Now when I left Team medical I got a txt to say that I owe $95! I thought, hold on Im not owing anything on my account it must be a mistake so I called the reception she told me yes that's correct that is the afterhour charge. If I would have known that was going to be the charge I wouldnt have seen the doctor and would have gladly waited till Monday and be charged $19.50. This is why they don't have their prices displayed because they want to trick vulnerable people and rob them in broad daylight. I'm still shocked that even being a regular patient there afterhours is $95! That's not cheap! I was happy with my doctors but not after this. They lost my trust completely. I will never be able to trust them ever again after this. Not everyone has access to the internet to view prices and the fact that they charge so much for afterhours it's ridiculous, why steal from the vulnerable?

If someone has an exemption card not to where a face mask and its clearly visible and yet you don't let them in.what kind of medical practice is that. I would have made it a negative star if I could.

I’m so very shocked and disappointed that my 2 yr old grand daughter was turned away earlier today, Saturday 25th June. She is very unwell and her whole body is covered in a very sore open skin rash, that typically could be strep related. Disgusting service. Shame on all concerned. If anything untoward happens to this wee girl you are all hokey responsible for this and her deterioration.

The receptionist has to be the most unprofessional, rude woman i have ever met in my life.no people skills, cannot do her job for the life of her.belittles everyone who comes in.not the kind of person you want to interact with during an emergency.she needs to rethink her career.

This evening New Zealand and Kapiti sunk to rock bottom. The staff at this facility should not ever be allowed to work in the medical field again. I sat with my child and witnessed a horrific scene of a young family with their child get ushered out due to their vaccination status. The poor boy screaming, blood rushing down his face while his mother, shaking in fear and uncertainty was intimidated by staff. Appalling Kapiti After hours, you do not live up to the hippocratic oath and are not even decent human beings

Rang the medical centre to confirm that the ear nurse was a drop in. Was told to turn up on the day. Waited for 30 minutes only to be told it’s by appointment only now. I had developed tinnitus and needed the wax cleaned. Not only did it inconvenience me on the day. I was robbed of the opportunity to call around and book an appointment earlier. So now I’m stuck with tinnitus for longer due to poor management of the non-clinical staff.

If I could give a zero star rating I would! While visiting the area, my best friend became sick with vomiting, abdominal pain, chills and fever. His mum and sister was advised by Healthline to take him to the nearest after hours as he needed to see a doctor. The things they were told to look out for and considered urgent was blood in the vomit and shortness of breath. By the time they reached Team Medical Kapiti (I live in Levin), he was displaying those urgent symptoms on top of what he was already experiencing. His mother was told to leave the premises for not wearing a mask, despite having an exemption. The receptionist needs to be educated on the meaning of Mandatory as opposed to a passed law. She then proceeded to ignore my best friend as he begged to be helped, saying that they were not going to help him. His sister asked her, “So are you denying medical attention? ” The receptionist then totally contradicted herself and said, “No. ”. When he became frustrated with not being heard and with also being in pain he started banging on the desk, begging for someone to help him. He ended up on the floor writhing in pain and vomiting into a bowl in front of other patrons who had become concerned and disturbed by the lack of empathy, lack of human decency and lack of medical attention. The receptionist then called the Police to have him removed from the premises for banging on the desk. When the police arrived it was only then that they asked if he wanted them to ring an ambulance.

I hear that your doctors and nurses are awesome, but your reception staff makes the service that your provide to the public, negligent, disgusting and horrific. I will be making an official complaint to the human rights commission as well as the Department of health for this inhumane treatment.
