Just reading some of the reviews, and I'm very surprised! I have been back in kapiti a couple of months and I have visited team medical 3 times during my time down here they have been absolutely wonderful and even got me some food the one time I had been waiting for my eye to be flushed out for hours. Sounds like the old receptionist gave this place a bad name. Big ups to team medical the Times I've been there, brilliant service and well looked after.

Worst service I have ever experienced at a medical institution. In fact, dangerously poor. 82 year old lady walked in ahead of me bleeding from severe lacerations on her ankle, no receptionist present. When one turned up about 30 seconds later she subjected the lady to a slow checkin process which included gathering a mobile number so she could wait in the car despite a completely empty waiting area. Old lady didn't know her number, eventually was allowed to sit in the waiting area after being handed a face mask that required tieing. No help was given to tie the mask despite the lady visibly shaking and clearly being unable to tie the mask.

Then it was my turn. A nurse appeared and declared they're closing at 8pm (despite website saying 10pm). It was 7.50pm. I was asked to return tomorrow. But not before being told "you didn't see the notice on the door, we can't just have people walking in here. " Can't just walk in? TO AN URGENT CARE CENTER? Maybe make your important sign more visible?

Both me AND THE OLD LADY STILL BLEEDING AND UNATTENDED TO left in disgust.

Incredible. I will be lodging a formal complaint.

The nurse was rude and didn't listen, then waited an hour to see the doc who rushed me out in 10 minutes and told me to make another appointment to sort out 1 of the 2 issues I was there for. I would go anywhere else if I could.

We just recently arrived in Paraparaumu. The service we received from Team Medical was outstanding. The staff is kind, professional and take an personal interest. A special thanks to Sarah that really went the extra mile to help us. I highly recommend them.

Was in and out fairly quick. Receptionists and nurses were very helpful. Doctor gave diagnosis all necessary info but was in and out pretty quick, so need to be prepared what to ask.

The doctor made it sound like my mum was going to die within the next 24 hrs, the oxygen machine was broken and we had been there for 4 hours!
the worst clinic in town!

The Drs are rude and pretty much never want to give anti biotics.
The front desk staff chat about private information related to patients. I've heard them mocking patients related to suicide and joking about it, all sorts of stuff.
Very VERY unprofessional practice.
I would NEVER recommend them to any one

I've been here a few times with my child and once for myself and have always been treated well, X rays done, broken bones cared for etc. Great facility, nice doctors and nurses, and so glad it is here since the nearest hospital is at best an hour away.

Awful receptionist. Snarky, short in temperament, and just plain rude. I drove to Wellington Hospital after the receptionist gave me an ultimatum; pay an exorbitant price or go to Wellington Hospital. With no other patients visibly present, it was a 2 hour wait or drive to Wellington. The choice was obvious. There was no way I would pay to put up with that grumpy bat.

Front desk rude, nurse was good and I felt comfortable with her, (only reason they get a
Two star not a one star) Unfortunately when I saw the doctor I felt my concerns were dismissed, she had no empathy and I felt rushed out.do not recommend

Such a disappointing experience every time I go in. Daylight Robbery to pay for seeing a doctoer there to then tell me he can't help me with that and il have to book again for another appointment. Also saying to just go to the chemist instead of renewing a script as it will save him paperwork. Previously could understand that it's a busy place and errors can happen like over charging me previously and loosing my files etc. Please look past this medical centre the staff are rude and doctors are time wasting thieves.

Both myself and my children have had exceptional care from Dr. Stus, Dr. Coulter, and Dr. Krivan over the last few years. Unfortunately I do avoid/refuse now to be booked in with Dr. Palmer. The nurses are experienced and friendly and the reception staff are great.

Very poor reception skills of whomever answers the dam phone. They don't even say "Morning team medical", I wasn't even sure I had the right place. In person theyre no better. Bloody rude women at receprion. Hire friendlier people ffs.

Took my Partner in Monday (Wellington Anniversary) paid a $112 to have rude receptionist talking to us both like we were stupid. The nurse on the other hand was very good she did her checks until we got the Doctor who we explained our situation and my partner symptoms to, he checked over my partner and then turned around to us both and asked “what should we do”. Excuse me. “what should we do” well I wouldn’t spend $112 for a doctor to ask me what should we do and then have him give us no advice and then tell me it’s a 5 day virus and take paracetamol. My partner has been sick since last Saturday and is still sick till today. I have decided for my partner to go see my doctor in the Eastern Suburbs of Wellington which is 45mins drive. He was missed diagnosed. I wouldn’t recommend this medical centre at all.

Team medical in Paraparaumu and Dr Palmer are very good, you may have the minor hic-up every now and again in a place that's as busy as they are, thats to be expected, they have always looked after myself and my family, if you want to see bad and not interested, 'take a paracetamol and go home' then sign up at Otaki medical, you'll have something to moan about then lol

Staff on the front desk are often rude, ignoring you and I have witnessed them commenting on patients between themselves. Doctors are usually good but time is so pressured and you often can't get appointments. Most nursing staff are great but I have come across a small few who don't seem to at all interested, and have made me feel like I was wasting their time.

Dr Palmer didn't read my notes before hand and didn't listen to my requests, and as a result has caused me considerable stress dealing with a government department. This practice is absolutely awful, do not use them.
