Allied Pickfords

Haven't even used them, but the rude
condescending customer service woman has lost this customer.

Allied gave us nothing but problems. They delivered a day later than agreed, which caused us problems. Their pickup took three days, which NZ Vanlines conducted in a single day, three years earlier. Their inventory was useless with much missed, and their packing was either over the top or awful. Our insurance claim will run in to the thousands. "Allied - the careful movers! " - yeah right!

The only reason they got two stars and not one star is the delivery crew at our destination were spot on, so that somewhat redeemed a pretty poor overall experience.

Oh, and don't expect them to answer phone calls or emails once they have your business. Not really customer focused.

The moving guys were absolutely stellar!
Aleki helped me pack and then did an amazing job of uplifting.
Then Zac from Auckland and the local Tauranga guys were totally awesome.
They all made me feel like it was effortless for them so they gave me a lot of confidence.
At the destination they were very professional and made sure all items were accounted for.

I would have no hesitation I. Recommend doing these particular guys - top job!

Fantastic packing crew in Auckland and fantastic delivery crew in Christchurch. I have used Allied before and will definitely use them again.

Moving is stressful whatever the circumstances, Allied were awesome every step of the way.

Efficient service, on time, very careful. No breakages. Only minor criticism would be a bit more clear direction prior to move day about expectations around who is packing what, how to prepare certain items etc. Didn't respond to my wife's email queries.

I would highly recommend Allied Moving. The whole process from quoting, to pickup, transport and delivery was well communicated, professional and efficient. Brilliant service, very friendly and helpful staff.

Moving service was for relocation of complete family household from Auckland to Blenheim, packing and unpacking, plus vehicle transport. Packing turned out to be wrapping and carton-ing everything (even worthless items like brooms or pool noodles), though they managed to forget wrapping the aluminum frame of our expensive dining table which of course then arrived with lots of ugly scratches. Same with our brand new kids swing set. Unpacking meant they put the furniture where we wanted it and emptied the contents of the cartons on the floor, just like that. Vehicle transport was subcontracted and there were no issues. Would book them again but without the (in hindsight too expensive and complicated) packing/unpacking option.

Team were amazing. Everything moved quickly and efficiently with no damage. They moved my parents into a smaller house with great care and compassion. Each team worked were very experienced movers who ensured that we had everything we needed at the appropriate time. Can’t praise Josh and his team enough. Thanks guys.

From my perspective everything worked as hoped for, the service was as courteous as it was efficient. Both recipients in Wellington acknowledged receipt of the goods at the times that Allied informed me they would. They have not reported on any damage that might have occurred en route. I am very happy with the service provided and am very happy to recommend Allied Moving Services warmly. Thank you.

Allied Pickfords were great to work with, right from providing the quote, to packing up my entire apartment, storing all of my furniture for 4 weeks and then delivering and setting up all of the furniture. I would definitely use again.

Thanks Des for making our move as smooth as possible. We had one less thing to think about as we moved through a difficult time. Des was very helpful and always responded to any questions in a timely manner. Highly recommended and would be happy to use them for our next move.

These guys are amazing! Nothing was a problem. Happy and friendly staff. Couldn't do enough for me. Asked if I was happy after they had packed my home up. Explaining how my belongings were going to get to my new destination. And when my household furniture arrived at my new destination the guys from Allied Pickfords where amazing.the 2 of them unpacked the container in no time. Asking where I wanted things.setting up beds/tvs etc.everything was so easy.and before they left.they where still asking if there was anything else they could do. Really polite.and strong men.lol

My experience was great. The staff at Allied have all been super efficient, friendly and helpful.
The detail they provided was exceptional and set the bar very high. The leave behind pack after their first quote was amazing and contained valuable information.
Nothing was too much trouble and everything arrived intact.
I would certainly use them again and highly recommend them to anyone else.

The entire move (from quote to packing to unloading) was very well planned and everything went according to plan. Excellent communication and extremely helpful staff, we would be happy to use Allied Pickfords again.

When I asked for a quote, I was told that because I am not using a full container, it will take approximately 5-15 business days from Auckland to Wellington. I expressed concerned that I don’t want to be without a bed for too long, and I was given the impression that it may not take that long anyway. I did not hear anything from them after the furniture was picked up. I had to follow up almost everyday from day 16th. I was told that 5-15 days was just an estimate. Well, that estimate is way off. It took 23 days for them to deliver.: (

Do not use Allied Removals. They promised the earth “the careful movers” but damaged our furniture in transit. Totally unreliable as to dates, delivery time and now not answering emails about paying for the damage repair. Only the lady in Australia answers emails. In Dunedin and Auckland they ignore them.

Allied were great to deal with in general although a bit of miscommunication between departments.
The moving team were outstanding. Nothing was a problem, they were extremely accomodating and very polite.
Allied were very competitive and covered all bases. Cleaning, house, oven, windows, etc.
They split our move between 2 addresses and provided storage. In short a one stop shop.
Highly recommend.
