Allied Pickfords

The move with Allied was terrible and I would strongly recommend you use another company. The packing was a joke for example they packed books on top of pot plants. There were breakages, lots of stuff that shouldn't be wrapped was and then they would wrap in paper things like a single plastic clothes peg. The boxes had been used before which wasn't a problem however they left the writing from the previous move on the boxes so we had no idea which labels were for our move and which were from the previous. Boxes were generally mislabled, one box said clothes and was full of tools! I could go on but you get the picture. They were cheeper than other companies but I guess you get what you pay for. Next time we will pay the money and use a better company.

The team were on time and worked hard. We would have liked to have known the arrival time in advance a few days before, not just the day before. Very expensive, and we discovered later that our fridge has a deep scratch on the door.

Used Allied Pickfords for our move from Dubai to NZ. Not a single thing went smoothly. Both ends were mismanaged and it made the whole process more stressful. Packing was inefficient and all surveyed items were not uplifted. Unloading went very slowly as only one guy handled most of the boxes coming off the trucks while 3 others waited for the occasional upstairs items. Fragile boxes became the bottom of the large pile in storage. Only furniture was unwrapped after 8 hours. The Careful Movers? - Thank goodness we took the insurance.

I recently moved from Qatar to NZ and chose to go with Allied Pickfords because of their global presence and price competitiveness. AP did meet my expectations.great team, customer support and after sales support. I will certainly go with Allied Pickfords again.highly recommended.

We have now used Pickfords twice to move from Auckland to Geraldine. First time was fantastic - Dave McIvor was really helpful and did his utmost to make life easy for us. The packing team were great - when they unpacked at this end they said it was one of the best packing jobs they had ever seen. Sadly Dave is no longer with Pickfords.
Second time was to move 94 year old mother - good but not as good as first time. Mixup as to who was doing packing - they came ready to pack truck expecting household to be already packed and ready to go. Having sorted that out they certainly got cracking and packed everything in about 5 hours! Everything arrived safely - no breakages.
Auckland representative Michelle didn't tell us until too late to change travel plans that they only shipped to the South Island on a Thursday, so as we had mother packed on a Thursday had to wait a week until goods even left Auckland, and then another 2 weeks for everything to arrive in South ISland.
On the whole no real problems - would recommend Pickfords to anyone wanting to move.

Fantastic from pack to unpack. All the staff were efficient and helpful, very friendly and made a stressful time very easy. We are now settled in our new house and life is good again. Carla, the lady who supervised our pack was absolutely amazing.

Unprofessional-apparently damage done to walls by these removalists when they are putting furniture into your house isn't their responsibility to fix. What a racket-they can employ unprofessional staff who dont know what they are doing and then damage your home and they dont have to take responsibility for it-what a racket! Horrendous experience dealing with this company
