Bought a car here for my daughter. A couple of minor issues after purchase but sorted really quickly with great customer service.

Updated after the GVI team approach to clarify their position and offered to rectify.

Purchase experience for my Nissan Leaf was rather good but post sale could have been better. Car documents had wrong WOF and Service Dates. When I realised I raised with them and was offered a solution.

The most incredible experience with Darren from GVI!
After browsing cars on Trade-me I sent a quick email asking if a particular car was still available, expecting to hear back eventually I was totally surprised to receive a call from Darren with in two minute of hitting send! We’re travelled from Timaru to pick up our new car, this was purely due to the outstanding service we received. Darren was friendly and engaging and made the purchase so easy and straight forward. 5 star car 5 star service 5 star people, if you are unsure at some stage that's pretty normal for buying a car but these guys have done a really great job which im totally stoked with and they havent put a foot wrong and totally blow the competition out of the water

I bought a car from them a few months ago, and it's going well. Gleb was very helpful, and they had a good car selection. I'd use them again for another car.

I brought a ute from GVI not even a year ago, And have had the same issue with airbag light come up. Don't get me wrong but the guys at GVI workshop have been great, And even though i have had to return for this repair at least 6 times. I am still having this problem and now I am having to try and sort it again.

It can be a little concerning when buying a car sight unseen like I have, so trust in the people you are dealing with is a big thing. Right from the outset I felt confident with Darren, the salesman I was dealing with and was very happy to be looked after by him. He answered all my questions and was very helpful.
The level of professionalism from start to finish was impressive. He said, "When you see the car you will not be disappointed. " That proved to be an understatement, the condition of the car completely exceeded expectation. I am very happy to recommend this car dealership.

5 star for Paul Brom. As a customer, first impression lasts. He wasn’t pushy. He wasn’t like any other salesmen who hard sells. Although I ended up not buying the daily runner hybrid car I was looking for, I texted him to let him know so he won’t have to waste time following up with me and he responded with a positive attitude. Another day Paul. I’m sorted with my daily runner getting a Nissan Note E-Power from Simon Lucas. I got a Triton UTE from your shop last year although you weren’t the sales man I talked to. ️

Good selection of EV's under one roof. GLEB is an excellent sales representative who was very kind and patience, warm and welcoming. Kudos to him. Paper work was seamless and quite easy. Quite a lot of inclusives in the package which makes it a good deal.

GVI car dealers is by far one of the best car dealers we've dealt with - Service was over and above from Jacki. From Start to Finish the team were very professional and the best part that needs to be recognized as a team is your sales team did not hackle us one by one. We dealt with Jacki and only Jacki through the entire process. Communication throughout the whole process was very professional and we feel Jacki went over and above to get the sale from us (with no pressure on us at all). Not a fair experience.
It was almost 5 years ago now when my joint home owner and then my closest friend needed a car.
She is a Community Carer and worked as a Mobile Personal Carer to seniors.
As you can imagine she clocked in
many kms a day back and forth.
It was a choice between a Toyota Prius and the Honda Insight. She loved the comfortable Honda and the dealer assured us it could handle the kms.
She settled on the Honda Insight and it chewed through the oil in a short time. She rang GVI and they said it was normal for this vehicle. Our mechanic said she bought a lemon and even though we rang GVI to tell them the vehicle had major issues they took no responsibility for their part in the deal or any assistance to rectify the unfair deal. At one stage they even said she had clocked up way too many kms and this was why the vehicle had deteriorated. We were constantly in and out of the mechanic shop and over the 2 years we had the vehicle it cost her over 20k in mechanical bills. She ended up selling it to Turners to cover what she owed on the finance. We were both disgusted with the low customer value and will NEVER purchase from GVI Penrose again. Even though it was not myself that purchased the vehicle I was there every step of the way and am devastated at the clout that some of these dealers dish out. Never again.
Famy business they say, wow, I'm afraid money comes first there and family a sad last.
