Went in to GVI to get our Nissan Leaf serviced. 3 major red flags from this place.

1. We were told before the service took place that they would likely need to change the transmission oil. In the maintenance manual for a Nissan Leaf, produced by Nissan, it says the fluid should be checked then replaced if required. Since they said this before even looking it was a bit suspect that they were going to do this.

2. They said we didn’t have the caps that stop water pooling at the front of the car. This is a known design flaw of the Leaf. When we had brought the car I had these installed and SAW them installed. They blatantly lied to us here. We even have photos to back it up.

3. They failed our WOF on structural damage. This damage was cause by my partner scraping a sidewall when turning in to our garage. If scraping the side of a car causes structural damage then I’d be concerned about the overall safety a car can provide.

We decided to get another set of eyes before going with the panel beater they recommended and good thing we did - the panel beater said this should definitely not fail a WOF and told us to try any other outfit again without doing anything. We did and the WOF passed without issue.

So all three of these things were just an attempt to extort us and take advantage of my (female) partner and her trusting nature. I for one won’t take our car there ever again.

If i could put negative 10 i would.horrible pressure tactics to try and sell you a car.worst experiance, run for the hills and the prices are 1k on average more than other cars and the car we viewed was in worse condition than comparable others.shame on you for poor service and pressuring customers in time where we should be helping.

Edit: you closed the door on my partner telling her to have better spatial awareness, (this was in the first 2 mins), hawking over us as we viewed the car. The reality was we were prepared to purchase a vehicle today (which I was doing for her) so you lost out on a sale due to your rudeness to pressure us “into the office to sell us the car”. Mate, get real, the car should sell itself and salesmen also agreed but also wanted to continue his pressure tactics. I read the other reviews and it’s a common theme u have to profile your customer to see if they are genuine before letting them drive. This occasion you got it wrong. Good luck doing this sort of business! Customers will come back with pitch forks.

I am quite impressed with the way they do business in this place and how organized they are.
We have met Paul at GVI about 2 weeks ago to see a car we wanted to buy and before going straight to business we had a very nice talk about things not related to the car.

We ended up not buying the car as I wanted to sell mine first.

After that, Paul followed up on how was our search and as soon as the car we were interested in was sold by GVI to someone else, an email was sent by them with similar options to us.

Besides that, the way they present the cars in their website makes them very attractive.
Very different than many places where the cars are always dirty and not presentable.

This was our first time buying an electric car and we were a bit nervous, Gleb was friendly and patient, explaining things as we went along. They were open to negotiation and took our old car as trade in. Follow up and after care was great, Gleb was responsive with answering questions and following up on getting the Japanese head unit and dash changed. Really easy process. Thanks.

They were okay they said I had to pay at $500 deposit then it turned to $800 even though I got it the same day. The gvi servicing place gave it a warrent considering it needed an front driver side axle replacement probably from the wreckers as they ordered in the wrong size. Check for carpet larvae! Under the seats. I have a feeling something else is wrong with it but won’t take it back to the service place due to the unsafe warrant that was placed on my car.

Great service. Very good expericence with the sale person. He just advised us and never been pushy compared to another car dealers visited recently. Sales and Finance staff were very knowledgeable.

Service from start to finish was amazing! Non pushy etc. Paul is a fantastic salesman BUT unfortunately the car is a dud! I have had nothing but problems with the car from the 1st week. Ive been to your service centre, and it's still shuttering and surging. I haven't even had it a year yet and it's been nothing but problems and have anxiety everytime I drive it. I will now have to dig into my own pocket and take it to a Toyota specialist to have my issues sorted.

Purchased a VW GTI from GVI in the last week. Was in a rush and they moved the cars to get the one at the back out for me so I could take it for a spin around the block.

They threw in a free headlight clean to get rid of the haze, four new tires as the original were too high of a profile for the clearance under the guards and got a discount on the already discounted price.

Payment and picking up the car took less than 10 minutes once it was ready and I was on my way. Very satisfied with the service, would recommend and definitely return to purchase again in the future. 5/5

Great showroom and options. Geary was good to deal with. He was informative and followed up about my visit to the showroom.

Matt the sales manager was great too. Professional and straight to the point.

They do things well and that tells you you can trust their cars. Will be my go to for any electric vehicle queries and purchases

Spoke with Jackie in regards to a car. He rung me on Saturday asking for a deposit said I will sort monet out with it being a weekend money takes time to change banks then ring on Monday to make deposit tells me the car is sold.

Don't know what you mean by car dealer trick. He only mentioned a deposit on Saturday and never said I had to do that to secure it, every other time he was pressuring me into buying it. I was clear that money had to clear in order to make the deposit and he never once said well the car will remain on the yard.

I live in Hamilton and I viewed and test drove the vehicle briefly prior to AL4, but we couldnt agree on the price. After Auckland dropped back to AL3 I contacted Darren to see what he could do. After some firm but fair negotiation we agreed on a price and I paid a deposit to secure the vehicle. I could not collect it due to Covid restrictions so I needed to wait until they lifted. After a month or so it was clear they werent going to change, so Darren contacted me to discuss options. He very kindly offered to deliver the vehicle to me for free.
I am very cautious when purchasing vehicles so to have it delivered rather than collect it was a bit of a gamble for me, however Darren fulfilled all his obligations and the car arrived in great condition. After a few days I noticed one of the tyres was flat, so I contacted Darren again and I was able to get it fixed at GVI's expense, so he did stand behind his vehicle like he promised.
Super happy with the car and the service that GVI has offered.

Excellent after-sale service! Bought a car in 2020. This week I realized that the dealer didn’t give me the key for anti-theft wheel nuts in 2020. GVI covers the fee for ordering normal wheel lug nuts and melt the anti-theft wheel nuts. Totally follow the consumer guarantee law. What an honest company!

Jackie and Danny went above and beyond to provide a friendly and non pushy sale. Even with the challenges of lockdown they made trading in and purchasing an easy process.

I had seen a few reviews about issues getting a test drive, I just wanted to say in my experience this was not the case I had the car for a good 45minutes.
