If I could give these guys 0 I would. They are rip off merchants who almost cost me $3.5K and a ruined lawn but did cost me 12 hours of pointless digging.

We had a blocked sewer line which we got cleared urgently by another firm. I then had PQ in to do a CCTV scan. They were in a hurry from the start. Once complete with the CCTV they let us look at a grainy picture for only a few seconds saying their battery was almost out. Their determination from what they had seen via camera - there were roots in the pipes and they quoted us $3,500K to fix with digger and drainlayer. Not believing it should cost $3,500 to dig and repair a PVC Pipe I decided to dig it myself. After many hours of digging I found the pipes to be in perfect condition with no roots anywhere near the pipes. They had potentially mistaken the coupling between the PVC and Clay pipe to be roots encroaching on the pipe.

When we raised this with them, they insisted we would find roots in the pipe if we dug further, and they tried suggesting we use their Drainlayer to do a proper job at $194 + GST an hour. I checked with 2 certified builders and that was double (yes double) the hourly rate of the drainlayers they used.

I have since had a certified builder confirm my findings that there is nothing wrong with our pipes.

On the plus side I saved myself $3.5K and a destroyed lawn, on the down side I wasted 12 hours digging and refilling a hole for nothing.

Booked for fairly urgent valve work under house and given 9-12 slot. Told them I had a lunchtime appointment. No plumber by 12. Rang. Rescheduled for after 2pm. No plumber by 4.30. Rang. Told the technician came at 1.30. He lied about calling me (phone with me at all times, no missed calls). I could have rushed home. By 4.30pm he was still on a long job, and couldn't come. Really Plumbquick? Is this your level of service? Not impressed at all. Now awaiting after hours plumber.

Very friendly, great customer service and great communication over the phone. The Plumbers are okay for ordinary jobs like installing a new tap and other routine plumbing issues. However, they don’t seem confident and skilled enough for slightly more complex plumbing issues. Even the simple faucet installation was not done correctly the first time and the plumber had to return the following week to install it correctly. No apologies were offered for the inconvenience. They are certainly okay for routine jobs, but I would recommend supervision of the work during and after.

Plumbquick had already advised us the old leaking cistern could not be replaced on a previous visit, there was no charge for this.

Just be aware that PlumbQuick gives you very misleading quotes. I was quoted verbally that the job would be $200 to $250. Was a very simple water connection to the fridge. PumbQuick ended up charging me $350.

We highly recommend plumber Jeff whose knowledge and expertise meant that he was quickly able to detect the cause of our leaky toilet. He also took time to explain the cause of the leak to us. Thank you Jeff.

They were professional, helpful, informative, tidy, competent, quick and did an amazing installation of my new gas hot water. They went well beyond what I expected. The tap was still leaking and Nick called in to sort out the small leak at the tap, found what was causing this and resealed both areas where the seals had deteriorated. Call out fee seems high for such a quick job, but that's not within his control I imagine.
