I recently hosted my birthday party here, and I'm so glad I did. The staff were very friendly and efficient. They made everything so easy, so I could just relax and enjoy the night. Highly recommended.

I went to this place with a few friends and we were definitely not disappointed. We were greeted warmly when we got there and the service was brilliant. The food was so delicious and the value was excellent compared to the other places we already tried in Auckland. The atmosphere was 10/10 and so was the venue. Definitely coming back soon.

We used to visit sweat shop frequently for the great selection of beer. Tried to visit tonight and my partner was turned away for wearing his brand new white leather sneakers, the same time a girl was let through while wearing pretty much identical sneakers as him!? What's with the ridiculous new dress code? Thought it was pretty common to wear sneakers out these days? Definitely won't be returning while this dress code is in place.

Was there on Friday night for a special occasion.security kept coming to us and threatening to make us leave for made up reasons unknown.one of the bar staff accused me of stealing a drink when i clearly paid for two of them and she only delivered one. (We asked her to review ctv footage but she refused.) My sister then paid for a replacement drink only to diffuse the situation but not to take the blame. Our group was made up of 40 year olds. We spent about or more than $500+ easily that night. I was then attacked/assulted outside the club by two islanders and have sustained injuries. We had a great time being amongst ourselves and friends but the staff overall have tainted our experience and safety. If I was the owner of the bar I would be dissapointed to know that I will lose future business and money. I'm happy to talk to who ever that is.things need to change.

-4stars because the bouncers decided that i was too casual to enter. Funny thing was is that they had let people in with ripped jeans and sneakers and hoodies and caps and t-shirts. I wont be goin back there. Especially when you have to dress up to the nines to go to a pub. But hey if they don't want my money then il go spend it somewhere else.

I won’t go to this place anymore. I used to come and enjoy nights here and now they think they are becoming so fancy and introduced a very silly dress code.
The funny thing is that this dress code starts at 9: 00 pm and everyone who is already inside before that time could enter with tennis shoes, ripped jeans and casual shirts.
Yesterday I was denied entry by the bouncer (I was wearing office clothes and sneakers) and was ridiculous because I was dressed way better than many people inside.
They are just ridiculous for a casual pub, I will never come back, but if you really want to go make sure to pack a tuxedo!)

Came for desert on a Thu night. Nice atmosphere. Music not too loud so you actually have a conversation. Had the apple doughnuts and The Carnival, which was pretty much cinema food all in a bowl. Felt like a kid again

I love the beer Sweat Shop has to offer, really enjoyed the Pilsner. However, I had the smoked lamb shoulder and it was absolutely dry and chewy. As it came with no gravy/juice, it was very hard to eat. My partner had a pizza and was underwhelmed. However, staff were very helpful and polite.
