Valentines Buffet Restaurant & Bar

Whoever cooks the food here seriously has no tastebuds and no eyeballs. The worst food I’ve ever had at a buffet. The whole facility needs to be overhauled.

Hairs all over the floor, I don’t know how they can stay open, hair in my soup ewwwwwww don’t go there if you don’t want hair for dinner

Use to look forward to going to Valentines when visiting Rotorua.
But never again! Is really disappointing hardly anything to choose from what was there was very dry, seafood smelt bad and looked old. No fizzy drinks available as Machine was broken.
Very surprising you still get customers.
1 star for table staff as atleast they still do a good job.

Went there for my friends birthday, way over priced for value, most food was cold or lukewarm, oysters covered in bits of shell and smelt and tasted funky, waiter dropped my straw on the floor, told me he was going to get me a new one, and didn't, seafood salad was slimy and tasteless, not much food selection.no chocolate fountain.cream was old and most desserts soggy.i also felt sick after i had gotten home and brushed my teeth twice to get bad tastes out of my mouth.on a positive note, staff was lovely, made my best friend feel special with her cake, made us feel welcome.wont be coming back, they really need to up their game if they want people to keep coming back

Arrived just before 7pm left around 8.45. Would be one of the best dinners I've had for a very long long time, as was expected the seafood was fresh, the seafood Chowder was full of seafood and not like soup. While we were there couldn't help but notice that the table's were wiped and disinfected.

Bad service, tried to bail on a promo had advertised on every table blaming covid well if thats the case remove the signage and promised two things when making booking failed to deliver not happy 0 stars if i could

I know times are hard right now but they shoiuld be careful with what they want to.give away and what they dont

The best buffet in town child friendly staff are amazing value for money cant fault anything about this restaurant definitely recommend.

People were very nice the food was not it was not yum it was cold that it started forming as jelly and the salads were not fresh you could taste it the seafood was rubbery and just not it never coming back

$100 for 2 adults and 2 kids. 100% wasnt worth it. Was gutted we didnt go to maccas that was across the road, which would've had better food quality.

Terrible. Waste of money, more food on the floor than on the menu. 6 people in the whole place and they made us sit in the dirtiest area in the place. Literally walking on food and rubbish to get to our table. Food was yuck. Had to get Burger King when we left. What a joke!

Thank you Valentines, Very Helpful staff, even did a birthday card and balloon. And they even transfer her cake onto a glass plate

This was an absolutely amazing dinner out I've not seen a valentine's in years, and it was wonderful food and a very lovely environment, I'll definitely go again

Omg food is soooo yummy. Super friendly staff. Love this place would highly recommend definitely will call in again when im in rotorua.

If i could post without a star I would have. Went to Valentines for dinner. The food was near on cold, which made it not enjoyable at all. Will NOT be going back there again.

Had a family birthday dinner here on Easter Monday. My tummy felt unsettled after our meal. My niece also felt the same. Turns out the majority of us went home and raced to the bathroom. All very unwell. Checked in with family tonight and several still feeling under the weather.
Have had several people tell me similar stories. Wish I heard it before we went.

Treated my Son & Family to dinner here for his 27th birthday. The birthday cake was absolutely delicious. However, as a seafood salad dish lover, I have no choice but to give my review as 'not my cup of tea'. And $18.00 for a jug of 'fizzy'. Oopsy on the wallet! Try the endless glass option instead. Other than that.it was ok. My grandchildren loved their desserts and the CS Attendants were lovely. My sons loved the meat dishes and the desserts.
Family critique is. "We seriously suggest they improve on the seafood salad recipe arrangements to get 5 stars.

Wish I could give zero stars. Absolutely disgusting service. Firstly we ring a week in advance to make booking. All is fine. Then call again the day before to confirm booking and time. Arrive on time and told we have no booking. Then demands details and cards for payments when she doesn't even know how many of us there are and blames the computer. 0/10 do not recommend. Evidently the new management should find a new hobby

Made a reservation online, called two days later to confirm - was all good to go! Arrived the day of the booking only to be told our booking was non existent and unable to be found!
Yet to enter the restaurant, we had to leave our card at the front desk (never had this before!).
Unprofessional service, an absolute waste of time. Will not return or recommend.

Amazing food and great service. My son has ADHD and has a low apetite at lunch time the chef went out of his way to make a pizza my son loved. Very greatful and would make it a definate stop when we came through again

This place was alright - Hard to judge the food, once your sitting there with your food enjoying it, it's the aftermath you have to prepare for.

Sore tummy galore!
