Valentines Buffet Restaurant & Bar

Thought the Seniors Gold Card price was too pricey. Food selection was good. Too much choice though. Tiramisu was to die for.

Food not great for a vegetarian or vegan or one a wee bit fussy. Actually overpriced and undercooked. Do not recommend better off elsewhere.

Food was good but the booking was a muck up.we were a large group and some were seated at small tables yet other groups came in after us with smaller number and got the bigger setting. Go figure. Made the most of it tho.

Very Disappointing. Won't be back, ever!

We were a group of 9 adults and the food was well below average. Almost everything was tasteless and no one had anything nice to say about the food.

Everytime we dine at Valentines (last time was approx 2 years ago) it just keeps getting worse, so thats it for us, we won't be back again.

$40 should buy you a decent meal, but not here at Valentines Rotorua

We took our child here for his birthday, we booked for 13 people and they wanted a deposit which is fine but when we made the booking we were put on hold for a long time, and by hold I mean they put down the phone to talk to customers. They then said they would call back but never did, then we finally got it sorted and went for the meal, the birthday cake they supplied was frozen solid, even though we booked 24hr before hand and they have no idea how to cook a steak.other than that it was fine I guess

Salads and seafood dishes very good and great selection. Hot dishes mostly fried food but glazed ham good. Desserts delicious and excellent choice. Overall good meal at reasonable price.

Had a wonderful dinner with family to celebrate our granddaughters 3rd birthday. Food was excellent and service was really good. Nice friendly staff.

Food was ok, but the whole place needs to be revamped just doesn't look or feel clean. The bathroom needs an overhaul, felt as though I was stuck in the 90s as I walked in. Rust and calcium build up not a great look!

Recommended dishes, oyster, shrimp, ham, glazed kumara.
Lots of choices for dessert.

Bad service, duty manager was rude and inexperienced. Such disgusting food selection, tasted worse than a free meal. Best thing about Valentines was the refillable coke and the mocha from the coffee machine! Not impressed. Waste of time and a huge waste of money.

Read the recent reviews and tho alot put the place down I really enjoyed it! Staff were amazing helpful and friendly. Good was great we went right after opening and everything was lovely very plentiful. Exactly what a kiwi buffet is

Average at best. Good if your looking for a big fat feed. Quality not so much. Clean with pleasant staff though

Never again will I step in this place. Some of the food was cold so obviously had been sitting for ages and had to be sent back. I was told my steak would take 15mins which ended up being nearly 25mins. Totally overpriced for what was served. McDonald's might have been a better option.

Visited the rotorua branch and the food was terrible everything was dry and tasteless. For $80 really! Do not reccomend this place at all

Staff were slow on refreshing dishes. The hot meat (pork ribs, chicken wings and ham) were all cold. The icecream machine was out of order. Then to rub salt into the wound our table were overcharged and the manager refused to offer a refund. Will never go back to this place again.

Very disapointing and over priced, very poor and basic salad selection, the cooked steak was only good enough for dog food and the rest of the food was very budget and thinly spread out, I would not recommend it.

Food is very bland.staff are pleasant.desert is substandard.soft drinks are not included in the exorbitant price they are another six dollars. McDonald’s is across the road much more recommended than this place

Had a early Father's Day lunch for $29per Adult with my Daddy, sisters & brother. There was a variety of soups, bread, hot meats, salads, seafood dishes, fish and chips, plenty of cheesecake, mousse, Brandy snaps, lots of lollies selection of drinks with lunch or in the bar area and of course tea & coffee.

It is a great place for family sized groups. The kiddos will enjoy serving themselves at the dessert bar. Mom and Dad will enjoy the plethora of shell fish.

Don't go into this place expecting anything other than simple, unflavorful, mass cooked dishes to be served at a buffet. After all, that's why people come here. None of the dishes are particularly good, but it can't be said that any of the dishes are particularly disgusting either. Overall the food is simply okay. Nothing more nothing less.
