I am totally disgusted with Tui Medical centres all together. All in a nutshell: 3 weeks, 2 centres, 5 casts (not one was correct), 3 different peoples attempts, no calls answered, no follow up dates given and as a result: a badly fused bone, a cast saw burn and cast sores from the cast being too tight and trauma caused by incompetent practitioners at Tui Medical is now what my 6 year old had to deal with. I would NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO EVEN THINKING OF GOING TO ANY OF THESE CENTRES!

1 star is TOO MUCH!

Tui medical are basically extortionists. I had a booked appointment to see the doctor at Te Rapa, after the appointment she had to send me to Rototuna because she was unable to diagnose a lump on my shoulder. When I get to Rototuna with my referral slip the receptionist told me I had to pay again! Absolutely unbelievable. I argued and explained my situation and she just laughed and pushed the eftpos machine towards me. I was concerned about the lump so I reluctantly paid. The doctor takes one look and says that will be $250 to remove. I don't have the money at the moment so he said there is nothing I can do and that I shouldn't bother going to the public health system as it's not cancerous they won't bother. I'm genuinely appalled by the level of empathy I received and I will most definitely not be going back here. I will be removing my entire family from there practice. They are simply money hungry and don't care about patients at all. I would greatly advise against going to any of these practices.

I have been a patient at Tui Medical since it started. I am writing this review to hopefully make a difference for someone else. On two occasions I have had a terrible experience at Tui Rototuna on the first occasion I stood in a line for long time I could hardly stand and felt so ill. I was told that I was non -urgent. I replied that I would have to call an ambulance if they not did see me. No one cared or seemed the least bit interested I managed to get Victoria Street A&E I was immediately given intravenous antibiotics I had a severe kidney infection which later required hospital follow up.

On the second occasion I called Tui medical explained my symptom’s and enquired that if I went to Tui Rototunua would I be seen I was informed that with the symptoms I was presenting with I would be seen. I arrived and told the receptionist and showed her a text from the nurse she said I was non-urgent even though at that stage I had a temperature of 39 had been unable to get out of bed vomiting. The people walking out of the Drs room certainly did not look urgent smiling etc.so HOW could a decision be made that my case was non-urgent based on a short conversation. Both occasions I arrived well before closing time. I explained that I am prone to kidney infections and thought I may require antibiotics she said I could not have anti biotics as I needed a test done first and they could not do it at that time. Any Dr would be able to ascertain if a patient had a kidney or balder infection, but I was not given that opportunity. Once again, I dragged myself to Victoria Street clinic was put on antibiotics. On both occasions my health was in jeopardy. I just cannot believe that Tui Medical would have left me (on both occasions) for the night with a raging infection. I was mortified any trust that Tui Medical adhered to best practice was eroded. I felt that I been a loyal patient and was not provided with the medical attention required.

I am a patient at one of clinics I finally found a great Dr I trusted he is now at another clinic therefore I now have access to random Drs I do not know. There is not any continuity. I have decided to not be a patient at their clinics any longer.

The trust between Tui and patient has gone.

Very poor service and even though I have an appointment, I still needed to wait for almost 30 mins. Also, have been waiting for my blood test results for over a few weeks already, nothing came back at all.

Tried booking in today and every doctor is fully booked! I only just got an appointment by chance as someone cancelled and it's not with my doctor as he is booked out until September. I have to typically wait 2 or even 4 weeks at the most to see my doctor and I can't stand it. Too many patients and not enough doctors to cope with work load. It was good once apon a time but has gotten so much worse in the last couple of years. It's a shame because my doctor is lovely!

This clinic has very bad service. I once asked them a question and they didn't know but asked me to provide some documents which they will look through and ring me back. I went there twice for it and they asked me to go back waiting. Weeks passed there was no ring or text. I rang them for it. But, they lost the documents I gave to them and told me that they cannot do anything but I have to bring it to them again. It is understandable that they don't know something they are not familiar but their management has problem and attitude is very unprofessional.

I have been going to this Medical Centre for approximately fourteen years and the Service has been great. And if anything it has improved since the change of Directors and name change too Tui Medical. Sure sometimes we have a wait. But how can any Doctor/Nurse or Receptionist at any Medical Centre predict how many sick, impatient people will turn up.

Incompetent nurses, don't return calls, regularly screw up lab tests. My newborn was required to have a stool test, however apparently they don't test under three months olds. They waited three days to tell me the test would not be taken - meanwhile the problem was still occurring. I found the nurses to be very passive aggressive.

Treated my wife, couldn’t be more pleased with their service. Nurses were prompt, showed care and consideration, after hours phone calls to follow up. Not a lot more anybody could do really without going to hospital

Took my four year old daughter here with a large laceration in her leg. The doctor who saw us didn't say a SINGLE WORD to her, said as little as possible to me, and did everything he possibly could to show how much of an imposition we were being to him.

She was doing fine until he waved a needle in her face before I could distract her with a video on my phone. When she freaked out he threw up his hands and sent us to the hospital. He couldn't have made it more obvious that this was his plan the whole time.

The hospital staff were absolutely wonderful and my daughter still talks about her doctor friends at the hospital. She still talks about the "Mean doctor" at the medical centre as well. Even if I wanted to go back here (which I don't), my daughter would never let me.

Maybe one bad experience with one bad doctor shouldn't taint the whole practice, so make your own mind up. But I'll never be back.

Would be great if they answered calls. Been trying to reach them for more than an hour and keeps getting disconnected after listening to their melody and holding on for reception.

Nurses don't know what a ph is dr give wrong information don't bother coming here waste of time. 1 star is way to high
