Waikato District Health Board reviews
79The workers in the hospital only deserve 5 stars for the way they helped families either through accident or emergency. Always very good staff who went above and beyond when we had our twins. They work overtime all the time with very long shifts. They deserve more in every way.
I have needle on my feet. So Wednesday 4th of Oct 2023 I Went to ultrasound first.after meet with the doctor from orthopedic. Also after xray a few dsys before.
Register in reception desk. Waiting for room from 3 pm until 1 am next day. Try Sleep because nervous. Then in the morning i have surgery.
Thank you so much for all orthopedic doctors. Who's did a good job. Thank you for the nurses in teather room. Thank you to Jasmine nurse in L8 M18. I believe all the staff doing good job.

No long waits and seen pretty straight away the staff were friendly definitely a hospital that the rest of the country should look too
Extremely nice nurses, helpful doctors and relatively quick service. Went in for a non emergency appendix removal and only waited 24h to get on the operating table. Lovely food and nice rooms, even compared to some private hospitals
Great experience today with a day surgery for my daughter.
Wasn't to long of a wait.staff are so busy and do a great job.
Great friendly staff. So helpful and caring.
Very lovely with my daughter who was super nervous.
Thank you
I was lucky i had a room of my own wiv a shower/toilet. The kitchen staff were brilliant, they always cooked a lovely meal.
A fantastic hospital, A+ highly recommended. Doctor's and nurses work hard and keep hospital going with kindness and support they can get through each day and night.
I can not say enough about the care showen to me and my husband by staff and doctors in Waikato Hospital.
You made a very difficult time bearable and Kevin and myself thank you all for the care and compassion showen.
The Waikato hospital saved my life, and I really mean that. The gratitude I have is truly. Indescribable.
Waikato hospital call operators the Ed staff Dr's nurses ARE ALL ON OVERLOAD STRUGGLING WITH HUGE INHUMAINE workloads. 5* to them for copng as they do and Shame on this govt for being so ignorant and flippant to ignore their needs and the people dying and suffering that can't get care. While they jet around pretending they are Kind and caring to nzers.shame on you.the heros are the people on the Frontline coal face daily.paid a pittance compared to politicians.
ONLY HERE FOR NICU thank you to the team who care for the babies you treated us like family and made our stay with my preemie so less stressful!
We have just had amazing service from all the staff here from the Emergency room right through the consultation and finally surgery all within a two hour period on a Saturday afternoon.
The on call Opthalmology team were here within minutes to perform laser surgery.
I was rushed to Ed via ambulance and stayed for 5nights unexpectedly. Resulting in surgery. I was not happy to stay at first due to all that I have heard. However during my stay I was looked after well. The food has definitely stepped up a notch and the staff were amazing. From the cleaners to the surgeons and all the staff in between. Being able to see all were rushed and trying their best and were still able to care for patients and still managing to smile was a massive thing for me.hearing disgruntled patients (which I understand were sick/worried or in pain needing care) going off just makes me sad. Massive thank you to all the staff working long hours on hard day trying their best to help us all at such a trying time for everyone.
I have just had Maria as my nurse in the ED and wow one of the kindest and most patient nurses I've ever had, an absolutely beautiful person inside and out
Thank you to all of the staff in these trying times.
A Special thank you to those working at the COVID19 centres and at the vaccination centres.

Management.you need to do something yo help the emergency department staff. I've been sitting with my dad in the corridor of triage. Not once in that time has someone come up to check on him. He has had no obs done.
Just another amazing experience at this hospital. 8 staff called in sick at cardiology and yet they still managed to get us seen to with a few changes. All in all a great experience. Thanks.
I would like to give the start rehab team the biggest praise for helping my mum for the second time in 18 months. The staff are extremely helpful, kind and very professional. You have helped my mum Matilda so much, and the community is so lucky to have you around. I really appreciate you all.
I was a patient recently in the cardiac ward. The care I received was wonderful from, tea lady, cleaner, nurses to Doctors all very caring and nothing was to much trouble. A big thank you Waikato Hospital you rock.
I come to maxifacial here quite often from New Plymouth and the staff at reception always greet me by name and are absolutely lovely. Mike and Moustapha are magician's and always have me laughing.
I had to visit the Menzies Building for day surgery. My appointment was on time, the staff I met were fantastic, caring and calming; the only negative was trying to find parking, which according to the nurse is always difficult after 9: 00am
