KK Malaysian Restaurant

Good variety of Malaysian Cuisine at affordable prices. Venue is known to be considerably small however the quality of the food overrides everything else.

Food here was amazing. Ordered Curry Laksa noodles.

There was no laksa taste. The soup was more curry but still, the taste of the curry was really great.

Would definitely come back and try the other food here if I'm back in Wellington.

Great spot for a quick, cheap and tasty meal. Service is no frills but is quick and efficient. Always consistently good and satisfying food with generous portions. Highly recommended!

Authentic Malaysian food. Not many places sell wat tan hor and not many places can make wat tan hor with the exact taste from my kampung, Malaysia

From the moment you enter the doors you are greeted with brisk Kiwi-Malay hospitality. The no-frills/no-alcohol/cheap-table-and-chairs rusticity of the place only enhances the charm of the hot, classically flavoured meals they efficiently serve. If you're not a vegetarian or religiously barred from doing so, you simply must try the beef rendang.

Feast for a fair price. Flavourful dishes that will make you wonder why you can’t cook like that.

Delicious meal and excellent value for money. My wife said it was the best Beef Rendang she had ever had. The Kung Po chicken was delicious too. $33 for two. What's not to like about that?

A small place with few dining tables. Not a very upmarket environment. Food is cheap but still very tasty. The service is quick and the staff is friendly. The menu is limited but still there are plenty of options to select from.

The best Curry laksa. We absolutely love it go there every couple weeks. Fast and child friendly.

Exceptional value for money. The food comes quick. The beef rendang is excellent. It's been around a long time this place. Fast service. Cheap Maylasian food. It's not a flash lookung place. It's not prentending to be. 10 out 10 feom me.

Such a nice, cozy and affordable place to dine at. I love the roti chanai especially, so tasty and filling. One of my top 10 Malaysian restaurants in Wellington for sure!

Wellington is spoilt for good Malaysian restaurants and KK is one of the best. Was busy with customers when we visited. A little bit nicer than cheap and cheerful, but only just. Can't fault the quality of food and speed of service. Menu doesn't quite have the range I would have liked and unfortunately my favourite Murtabak was absent. Great little Malaysian restaurant just off Cuba street. It's very reasonable priced. You can get a great Roti Chennai with lots of Roti for 9$! Chicken Nasi Lemak or steamed chicken rice are also fantastic. I eat here once a week at least. Service is always super fast and friendly. The place is just one cool painted room, nothing fancy. They do takeaway too.

EVERYTHING IN THIS PLACE IS SO WONDERFUL!
The staff were lovely, the food was like I was having my mouth on heaven and it was just so CHEAP as well for HUGE proportions!
HIGHLY recommend if you are in Wellington, and go give it a try if you are into Malaysian, and even if you're not, you certainly will be after trying KK!:)
