KK Malaysian Restaurant

Wellington is spoilt for good Malaysian restaurants and KK is one of the best. Was busy with customers when we visited. A little bit nicer than cheap and cheerful, but only just. Can't fault the quality of food and speed of service. Menu doesn't quite have the range I would have liked and unfortunately my favourite Murtabak was absent.

Nasi lamak here is always excellent. Wouldn't reccomend the spring rolls were- basic cabbage and mushroom and heavily dripping oil.

Lunch at KK Malaysian Restaurant was great. We had a delightful seafood laksa. It was tasty and very fresh. Well priced and overall great value. We will be back again before we leave.

A really good Malaysian restaurant with honest portion which were very tasty. We actually wanted to go back again on 01.01 but it was closed for holiday. Pity!

This is quite probably the best restaurant in Wellington as far as I'm concerned. The meals are always very high quality, the service is quick and of very high standards, booking a table is quick and easy, the price of the food is amazing and flavour is 10/10. If you haven't been here then you're seriously missing out, I absolutely recommend it.

If you do go please read the large sign on the door that says close the door however, the number of people that completely miss it and leave the door open and a cold wind hitting the other diners is absurd.

The food is the best! It's a little cosy shop which quickly gets busy but the service is super fast and good. The food is top notch.

Never had a bad experience here, always quick and friendly service, food is consistently good/amazing every time and really reasonably priced at about $13 per main. My partner is vegetarian and all the options here are really good and yummy, particularly the laksa which is definitely the best I've ever had. Good vegan and gluten free options also. We ordered Sambal Prawns with rice and it turned out more of Sweet and Sour pork taste, maybe they should consider changing the dish's name. We also 2 ordered Roti Chanais, the roti was thick and chewy being slightly under cooked, the Chicken curry that came with it was more of potatoes than chicken.

Delicious Malaysian food, the rendang is definitely worth recommending. I hadn't been there for a few years, but it's just as good as I remembered.

You are *SO* good to people, i came in and made the mistake of ordering a meat dish thinking it was vegetarian and not only did you say that's okay we
are happy to make you the vegetarian version for free and you can come and pay us back when you can, but when i came back one week later (you were so kind and generous you didn't mind me coming back one week later
and you trusted that) when i came back you charged me half the price and said it was your mistake. YOU ARE AMAZING.it was completely my mistake. You are the most authentic Malaysian restaurant in Wellington because of the authenticity of your food and your generous spirit, thank you.
